Since childhood, I have seen the female members of my family use Lakme products as a ritual. I used to see my mother and aunties use Lakme moisturizers, liner, kajal, nail paints etc. as there were only a few brands to choose from. Now that we are spoiled for choices, it becomes difficult to decide which one to buy and which one to skip. So, two things come to my rescue, one is IMBB reviews and the other is returning to Lakme as always. So, I am back with another review which I hope might help some of you who are equally confused between liners to choose from.
Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner: Super Long wear, waterproof, ophthalmologically tested.
Unique tip for super smooth, mistake proof and one stroke precise jet black line.
400 INR for 1.2 ml.
My Experience with Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner:
I feel that Lakme Absolute Precision liquid liner is just an improved version of Lakme Eye Artist. So, those who have used the latter would know that it was not jet black. Its the same with Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner, its grey black but the pigmentation is better. It comes in the form of a sketch pen which makes it easier to draw patterns without creating a mess which means this can be a good option for girls who are new with liquid liners. This sits really well on considerably oily as well as dry eyelids without smudging for good 6+ hours, so the claim of it being super long wear is true undoubtedly.
Now that IMBB has inculcated the habit of checking the ingredient list, I was a little skeptical about buying this liner as they have not put up any ingredient list, but the “opthalmologically tested” made me feel relieved that this would be safe for my eyes. Also, it is to be stored upside down to get a good pigmented stroke every time. I have never faced any problem wearing this along my contacts, but its better not to take risks with your eyes as it is an extremely important sense organ. That’s why I wear it below the waterline and not directly on it so that the liner does not get transferred onto the lenses in any way.
For others, you can try this Lakme liner on the waterline as this is waterproof but only if you do not have extra sensitive eyes like mine. The best part is the removal of the liner; it gets removed simply with plain water. This liner is both a hit and a miss actually, a hit because it lives up to almost all claims it makes and a miss because there are better liners in the market in the same price range.
Pros of Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner:
- Easy to use, not messy.
- Nicely pigmented, but its not the blackest black.
- Waterproof, can be worn on the waterline.
- Smudge proof, stays for 6+ hours.
- Safe along with contacts.
- Easy to remove.
- Easily available.
- Easy to carry around.
Cons of Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner:
- One needs to be careful while storing.
Overall, this is a decent liquid liner from Lakme made especially for eye make up beginners and who love grey black pigmentation in their liner. Hope you loved reading my review 🙂
