I’ve been a silent but ardent follower of IMBB since more than a year now. Finally comes the day when I’m writing my first review for IMBB, quite excited about it I am! 😀  Today I’m reviewing the Lakme Absolute Shine Line eyeliner in shade Brown Shimmer, from the recently launched Lakme Absolute Royal Collection by Sabyasachi.

My experience with Lakme Absolute Royal Collection Shine Line Brown Shimmer

I was looking to buy some liquid eyeliners in various colors, and when the SA showed me the Lakme Absolute Royal Collection of eyeliners by Sabyasachi, I just had to try them. Those are some really gorgeous shades! I got the Pink one, that has already been reviewed HERE, and also the Brown Shimmer one that I am reviewing today.

The Brown Shimmer shade is a beautiful bronze, with very fine shimmers. It does not make you look over the top, even during the day time. It comes in sleek bottle that has the same color as that of the eyeliner. The texture is nice and creamy, neither too thick nor too runny, perfect for quick and easy application. It is decently pigmented, and takes two swipes to show up nicely. I feel applying more than two swipes would make it rather thick, making it flake quickly. The best part about these eyeliners is their really fine applicator brush. I think even a newbie would feel at ease while applying the liner with this applicator. It is thin, and long enough to pick just the right amount of liner, and it amazes me how easy it is to create different looks with this brush. Also, once applied, the liner is smudge proof. I tried to smudge it with my hands, but it did not budge a single bit. Kudos! The staying power is good, I have oily lids, and it stays the whole day on my eyes without flaking.
The shade is such that it would work really well for fair skinned gals, but I’m not sure if it would show up well on dark skinned beauties.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Royal Collection Shine Line Brown Shimmer :

● Might not suit all skin tones.
● It’s not waterproof, or even water resistant.
● The shade looks similar to the Brown Shimmer one in the Nine to Five range by Lakme.
● Ingredients list is missing.

Yes girlies, the shade, the applicator, the price all make it a really value for money purchase. Do give it a shot!
