My Experience with Lakme Absolute Soft Nude Argan Oil Lip Color:

Packaging: The Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color comes in a gorgeous gold colored case, which looks pretty different when compared to their regular black cases. The lipstick is very handy; the packaging is flawless as the twist-up mechanism works perfectly fine. But, I wish the lipstick was color-coded. They do mention the shade name at the bottom, but you have to look at the bottom everytime you take it from your stash. I feel it is an expensive product as there is nothing very extraordinary in this lipstick.

Shade: The shade, “Soft nude” is a beautiful neutral color with slight peach undertones, which makes it very wearable for the Indian skin tones. It looks very pretty and subtle on the lips; it is perfect for everyday college or office wear. It can also be a great shade to rock that “no-makeup-look”. The shade looks very beautiful and natural on the lips. It is the perfect nude shade for women with fair to medium skin tones but, it won’t work well for women with dusky/deeper skin tones.

Consistency and finish: The lip color has a soft, creamy and buttery texture. It glides beautifully on my lips and does not feel heavy at all. It clings onto the dry patches on my lips but, after a minute or two, it settles to a soft, smooth finish. The lipstick maintains its creamy finish throughout the day. It does transfer to glasses and tissues, but the color does not fade away completely.

Staying power: The lipstick stays for an average of 4-5 hours, which is okay. It doesn’t sustain meals. However, it leaves a nice stain on the lips after a meal, which can be easily removed with a makeup remover.

• Stays for a good time of 4-5 hours.

Cons of Lakme Absolute Soft Nude Argan Oil Lip Color:

• Expensive.
• The shade will not suit all the skin tones.
• I have used a similar formula from Lakme before.
• Doesn’t survive meals.

Yes, these are really good creamy lipsticks to buy as they are very comfortable on the lips. I wouldn’t buy it again since there are so many new lipsticks to try out!
