My Experiences with Lakme Absolute Wine Gleam Illuminating Lip Shimmer Lipstick:
This range comes with 15 gorgeous shades to suit almost every skin tone. I have picked a few shades from this range. The lipstick comes in basic black colored cardboard packaging. The lipstick tube comes housed inside a carton packaging. The black cardboard box has all the product related details mentioned on it. But, this description lacks its ingredients list. The lipstick tube is silver from inside and wrapped up with a grey-black sheer plastic packaging. The cap of the lipstick has the range name mentioned on it in simple white fonts. Though, the cap has a translucent finish but still it becomes difficult to detect the shade from outside, if you own similar shades from same family. So, you have to check the shade name at the base of the lipstick. The packaging is very classy and easy to carry around. The cap of the lipstick shuts with an audible click and makes it travel friendly. The twist up mechanism of the lipstick has a locking system. The lipstick bullet has a round shape, which is slightly difficult to work with. I find regular bullet shaped lipstick slightly easier to work with.
Wine Gleam is one of my favorite shades from this range. It is a lovely wine shade with some bluish undertones. It is very close to hot pink shade but not like a bright fuchsia pink. So, it can be carried easily if you are comfortable with its shimmery finish. It will suit almost all skin tones pretty well. It is a bold shade but pretty wearable. The lipstick is loaded with silver shimmers, which are finely milled in this lipstick. These shimmers do not look chunky and gives a nice illuminating effect to this lipstick. It does not look gaudy at all. It perks up my face instantly. It is a lovely shade for wedding and parties. Though, it is a shimmery shade but it does not look chunky and it sets to a velvety finish. It is not a high-shine color.
The pigmentation of the lipstick is amazing. I really love how pigmented the lipstick is! One swipe of this lipstick will give nice color and coverage. But, it still takes at least two swipes to get perfect opaque color. The lipstick hides the pigmented lips pretty well. The intense color looks so beautiful on the lips. The color is surely buildable. I prefer multiple swipes to build up the color properly. It is a perfect bridal shade.
The texture of the lipstick is soft and smooth. It is so creamy and glides effortlessly on the lips. There is no tugging of the lips. The lipstick feels light on the lips. It feels super comfortable even after layering up the lipstick. It never gets patchy and it does not cling to the dry patches of the lips. The lipstick does not bleed or smudge. It never settles into the fine lines of the lips. I really love the texture and finish of this lipstick. The lipstick has a nice moisturizing formula, which keeps my lips nourished. But, it might dry out very dry lips. The creaminess of the lipstick leads to a little transferring. The lipstick has a mild fragrance, which is non-bothering for me.
The lipstick is really long lasting. It stays on my lips for approx. 6 hours without any meals. It lasted for 3-4 hours with full meal. Though, a little color was still there on my lips with a complete meal but the color loses its intensity with time. The shimmers look a little over powering, when the color fades. The lipstick is very easy to remove. Even the shimmers can be taken off very easily. Overall, I like this shade very much but I loved its Studio Sculpt Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick range more.
