My Experience with Lakme BM10 Enrich Matte Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a boring Lakme packaging. It has a matte silver colored plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. The only difference in this and Enrich Satin range is the matte finish of this range. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colored cardboard packaging that has product description, but the ingredients list is missing. The packaging is not impressive but definitely travel-friendly.
Lakme launched this enrich matte range a few months back and added a few browns to this collection. But, these browns are little different from the usual deep browns of Lakme Enrich Satin Range. These include some softer shades. The shade BM10 is n*de brown shade with strong yellow undertones. Though, it is a pretty affordable n*de shade that will look nice with smokey eyes, but this type of shade will flatter very fair skin tones only. It washes me out badly. So, this shade will not suit most of the Indian skin tones. The lipstick has some fine silver shimmers in it, which are quite visible on the lips. I hate shimmers in a matte lipstick.
Pigmentation wise, the lipstick is average. It does not hide the pigmentation of the lips properly even after multiple swipes. The pigmented patches stay visible even after layering. The fragrance of the lipstick is weird.
The texture is soft and creamy. It glides smoothly on the lips without causing any dragging of the lips. It feels light and comfortable on the lips. It does not have that heavy or waxy texture. The formula feels moisturizing initially but my lips become dry after a few hours of application. The lipstick does not have any hydrating properties. As, it is a matte lipstick; it easily clings to the dry patches of the lips. Hence, it becomes mandatory to prep the lips well.
The staying power of the lipstick is some 4 hours approximately with little drinking. But, it is not very long lasting and vanishes completely after a full meal leaving shimmers behind. It gets a little difficult to remove these shimmers. Overall, the lipstick is a miss and can be skipped easily.
Pros of Lakme BM10 Enrich Matte Lipstick:
• Nice n*de brown.
• Good to be paired with heavy smokey eye look.
• Smooth texture.
• Glides easily.
• Slightly moisturizing.
• Lasts for some 4 hours.
Cons of Lakme BM10 Enrich Matte Lipstick:
• Same boring packaging.
• Chunky shimmers.
• Could have been more pigmented.
• Does not hide pigmented lips well.
• Clings to the dry patches.
• No hydration.
• Shimmers are hard to remove.
• Does not survive meals.
