Today’s review will be on a lip crayon from Lakme. Let’s see how it fared for me.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Mauve Magic:
This lip crayon comes in a very simple but color-coded packaging. It also comes with a duo sharpener, which is so good because you won’t have to buy it separately. The crayon is small and cute. The cap fits perfectly and doesn’t come undone. The packaging is sleek and can be used for traveling purpose.
The shade Mauve Magic is a pink shade with a hint of purple in it. The shade is beautiful and would work across many skin tones. Mauve Magic has a little bit of shimmer in it but it isn’t that visible if you look from a distance. But if you look closely, you can definitely spot the shimmers. I’m a person who absolutely hates shimmer in my lip products, but I like this one because it barely shows on my lips. It is very obvious in the lip swatches, but in real life, it isn’t that obvious. This lip crayon is pigmented and you need 2 coats to get an opaque finish.
Since the tip of the crayon is very thin, it takes a lot of time to fill the entire lips. It’s not easy and super quick like regular lipsticks, wherein one swipe across the lips and you’re done. It takes a little bit longer to apply.
The shimmers are very finely milled and you won’t feel them at all. The texture is smooth and doesn’t feel waxy to me. This lip crayon glides on super easily and doesn’t tug or pull. It feels very comfortable on the lips for 4 hours. It doesn’t dry out the lips or make them parched. It also isn’t moisturizing. It is just comfortable to wear it. Also, this isn’t a true matte lipstick; it has a satin-matte finish with shimmers.
It stays through a meal which is incredible and I hadn’t expected it to, but it did. The staying power is 4-5 hours and you need to touch it up after that. For a lip crayon that is priced at Rs 185, I can surely bear with it. It also transfers like crazy, which I kind of doesn’t like this. It settles into the fine lines of the lips if your lips aren’t exfoliated.

Yes, I would recommend it if you are looking for pocket-friendly lipsticks, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.
