Hello everyone,

I have been so busy in my clinic since the last one week that I didn’t get the time to go for shopping 🙁 but still I managed to buy a new lipstick from a shop near my place.  These days brown has become my favourite colour.  I bought Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick in the shade 453.

Packaging:

This lipstick comes in the typical Lakme packaging with maroon plastic body with a golden slit between the body and cap. Embossed on this thin lining is the brand name. The bullet also has the company name written on it, which I like a lot.

Price:

225 INR for 4.4 ml.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick 453:

Though I bought this lip color, but my mom grabbed it as soon as she saw it 😛 Anyway, let me begin with the texture of the lip colour which is very soft like other shades from this range.  It glides easily on the lips without any resistance. If your lips are well hydrated, it will be easier to swipe it. The color is copper brown which would help your pretty pouts take a break from usual pinks and reds. Though it says it belongs to the category of enrich matte, it is not perfectly matte. As you can see in the swatch picture, there is a little shine/glossy finish in it. Next, talking about its staying power, it is good enough as compared to the other shades. Why? Since it is a dark colour, it won’t easily disappear. It will stay for approximately 6 hours with gradual loss of intensity of the shade. If I say that you won’t see the stains of this on your glass or cup after sipping something, I will be wrong. So, yes it is transferable, to a minimal extent. Lastly about the pigmentation, it is a dark shade which would cover every bit of your pouts.

Since the shade is a bit on the darker side, many of you might find it difficult to carry off, especially if your heart is truly addicted to the usual colors. It will take some courage to wear such a shade on regular days, but you can surely give it a try. I would suggest teenagers to use it during their evening parties.

What I Like about Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick 453:

• Inexpensive.
• Beginners can start from this range as they will have an idea what to apply and whether it would suit their personality or not.
• Texture is soft and thus makes application easy.
• Keeps the lips soft and moisturized, at least for me, it did.
• Easily available at the counters.

What I Do Not Like about Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick 453:

• It is sold under the range “Enrich Matte,” but I did not find it true.  The glossy finish it adds changes the status of the lip colour.
• This shade might not appeal to everyone.

Would I Recommend Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick?

Yes, it is a nice winter color, can help in highlighting your lovely face.
