Today, I’m going to review a lipstick from Lakme. It is Lakme Enrich Lip Color in the shade “Watermelon.” There are already many shades reviewed from this range on IMBB. I had bought this lipstick long ago when Lakme Enrich Lipsticks were new in market, and I am reviewing it now!

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Satin Lip Color – Watermelon:

The packaging is typical Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick with maroon case.  The cap closes securely with a click sound. The shade number and the name is written on the bottom of the lipstick.

The lipstick has a very strong sweet smell. The smell fades on after application in some time.  The fragrance does not bother me much. The texture of the lipstick is very smooth and soft. The lipstick gives sheer application and glossy finish. The color is plain brown, not even near to the pretty reddish pink color of watermelon! I have no idea why the shade is named after watermelon, but anyway, it is a pretty nice brown color.

With a single swipe, it gives a very sheer coverage. If the color needs to show up properly, I need to swipe it multiple times across my lips. It doesn’t dry out lips and also I feel it is moisturizing. I don’t feel the need to apply lip balm underneath.

Swatches: L- Single swipe, R- Three swipes

Lipstick stays on for 3 to 4 hours. After that it fades out. Doesn’t bleed or stain the lips. The color gets transferred if you are eating or drinking, which is the only drawback I can think about this lipstick.
