Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #128 Review

My internet was down for about 6 days and I must say my life without IMBB is incomplete. All this while, I wanted to write so many reviews and it was rather annoying to be not able to do so and read IMBB 🙁 but I am so glad this is looking like a great weekend and I am hoping to shop for some fresh stock tomorrow to review 😉

As for this one, I bought this lipstick when I had gone to get the new Lakme Absolute brushes.  I wanted to make a round figure and hence started fiddling with the Lakme Enrich lipsticks and a few of them caught my fancy. Now, I know most of us don’t even give them a second look these days with so many options around.  It is exactly for this reason that I am writing this review today.

I was amazed to see how many shades this range has.  Secondly, I was even happier to see how soft and creamy these were.  Most of them were creamy in finish, which is something I personally love. Then again, they had varieties of browns, light pinks and there was this pink (I forgot the number :P), which totally stole my heart. I was doubtful it might wash me out. I picked up this deeper plumy pink and I totally love what it does for my complexion.

The lipstick has been around for so long in this packing that it does get boring, but I must say dare I compare these to NYX round lipsticks in terms of creaminess; just that these stay longer and are deeper.  The texture of these is so soft and pigmented and the way they glide leaving a thick coat of color, at least this shade does.  I totally fell for these once again!

The color is a deep plumy pink and this pink really perks up the face.  It brings a lot of brightness on my dull face most of the days. I know it’s a little mature perhaps, but still I won’t call it a maroon because it does much more than that.

The finish is soft and creamy with a soft glossy shine. It gets transferred easily onto cups and I like to dab it with tissue before I move out because these do bleed and smudge easily. This lipstick needs a lip liner for it.

Also, the lasting power is above average, something that I really don’t mind. Being such a deep color, it doesn’t stain even a wee bit, very impressive.  Another thing is that these are so soft that it is prone to breaking and melting, so it’s a good idea to store them in the fridge and may be use a lip brush too.

Last Word on Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #128:

I am very impressed and I have fallen for the Lakme Enrich lipsticks all over again. These have been around for so long that we have started to ignore them, but these are the most creamy and soft lipsticks around for a price tag of Rs. 225! I am definitely trying more and I will compare them with Maybelline Moisture Extreme and NYX Round lipsticks, just that Lakme lipsticks are more deeper and creamier and stay longer.

Have a great weekend everyone!
