Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick – 651 Review
Hey ya Beauties   ,
Today, I am going to share my views about one of my favorite products, Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick 651. I’m a makeup novice, learning tips and tricks from you girls at IMBB. This is my second lipstick.
What the Product Claims:
RICHEST SATIN COLOR. AMAZING SATIN TEXTURE. Cast a spell in satin. Rich color takes life in a luxuriously creamy stick that brings satin to your lips. Enriched with sunscreens, vitamins and the goodness of olives, your lips will have a story to share. Indulge in a pod of beautiful shades ranging from floral pinks to shimmering peaches. Rs. 225 (I threw the upper plastic wrapping, so don’t remember the quantity :-/ ).
3 years from the date of manufacturing.
My Take on Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick – 651:
Well, I am in love with the natural shade it gives to my lips.
Here’s a stupid story:
The product was in my ‘it list’ as soon as I heard about the nude pink shade that it gives to the lips by you makeup gyaani girls here at IMBB. At my visit to the supermarket, I ran towards their makeup counter and asked the SA to show me the shade 651 immediately , but I was  to see the orange color :yikes: that I wanted to ran away even without taking a swatch (now you all can well imagine my knowledge about buying lipsticks  ).
The SA somehow managed to pull my hand and gave me a swatch, it was pink, but I was not convinced. Then, on my way back home, I went to another shop and asked for the same shade and once again that orange wali stick they showed. Again, I didn’t purchase it and went to a third shop and asked for the same shade. I know I was being skeptic like a fool, but at last, I purchased this time, phew!!!!
The lipstick comes in a boring packaging of the satin range of Lakme with an average quality plastic cover wrapped all around it carrying its bar code and a little information about it in golden colored fonts. Price was not mentioned, neither was the list of ingredients. :spank:
I have issues in carrying it in my bag, so it’s travel friendly for me.
It’s a neutral pink shade that makes the lips even pinker naturally without being over the top if you don’t apply 5-6 swipes like a crazy desperate girl (like me!!!!). I swiped it once all over my lips and the color was light pink, so I applied once more, then again 2-3 times. That’s how I used this lipstick the very first time and the result was so much pink that it was not at all looking natural. The color is pigmented, buildable, gets darker and darker as you layer it, swipe by swipe on the lips.
The lipstick is comfortable during the initial 1 to 1 ½ hours, but after that, my lips need hydration. So, I apply my lip balm. The staying power is around 2-3 hours (meals not included), after that, it fades leaving a pinkish cast all over the lips, but when I apply the lip balm beneath it, the staying power reduces to nearly one hour or so. This shade has a lip stain which gives pink shade to the lips.
When I removed the swatch from my hand without using a cleanser, the pink color was there on my wrist. The fragrance is slightly weird, but I am fine with it. It tastes sweet, so sometimes, I lick it when I feel I have applied a little more than required. :dumb:
I cannot travel without this in my bag from the day I purchased this lipstick. I just love my lips with this on. :preen: Below are its swatches in different lights.
 Very natural, buildable, and a subtle shade.
 Not pricey.
 Can be worn to the office and other formal occasions topping up with a gloss.
 Quantity is decent for the price.
 Sweet taste and fragrance (maybe a con for some ladies).
 Travel friendly.
 Shelf life of 3 years.
 Fades evenly leaving a natural pinkish cast and doesn’t settle into the fine lines.
 No ingredient list. :spank:
 Packaging can be improved.
 Staying power reduces when topped over a balm.
 Not moisturizing.
 Might not suit women with dark complexion and will not do justice to pigmented lips.
Will I Buy Again?
YESSSSS :yahoo:. I love the natural tinge that it gives to my lips and I recommend to those ladies who haven’t tried it yet. :waytogo:
4.5/5 (0.5 mark less for the extra hydration I need before putting it on, which reduces its staying power by half).
