Last night I was busy checking my facebook account and I read a funny thing. I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it with you all. It was –

Anyways coming on to today’s review, I am sharing with you my experience with lakme enrich satin lipstick in shade 274. I told you earlier I have wide range of dark shades. I do not stick to just pink and red shades. This lip color is a new entry in my kitty.

My experience with Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in 274:

As always these lip satins come in their typical maroon-purplish plastic casing which is quiet boring. You can’t see the shade without opening the cap. The only thing mentioned is the shade number. Who remembers the lip colors by shade numbers:-P. this shade is of the same colour as the case. I would rather say “ditto”. There is not a slight variation in the shade. You can see that in the pictures. The lip color completely matches up with the body.

The texture is good enough to glide easily on your lips. A slight glossy finish can be observed after the application. It keeps the lips intact with moisture, so you don’t have to worry about the dryness or flakiness on the lips. Staying power is average of approximately 4-5 hours after which it starts fading. The shade is apt if you want a change in your regular routine of reds and pink. If I explain the shade in my simple terms, just like a kid, I would say it is a blend of purple and maroon. You can suggest this shade to your mom for sure. She would love it, and I can guarantee that.

Since it is dark shade, single application is enough to give the real colour. It transfers minimally, but the fact is it does. Overall I would say at a price of just 230, it is not at all bad. You can keep it for rare occasions where you want to change your look only through your lip colour.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in 274:

• Lakme people if you are listening, please add a color to one end of these satins so that it becomes easy to recognize the shade without opening the cap.
• No ingredients list mentioned
• Staying power could have been better
• Would suit fair beauties
• Gives a bit of glossy finish which I do not like personally.

Would I repurchase this particular shade?

I guess this shade would take ages to finish since I apply it occasionally

Would I recommend its use to others?

If you can carry a dark shade or if you are just thinking to buy a different shade, then go head. It won’t hurt your pocket:-P

Rating: 3.5/5 since it is an average product, do not keep your hopes very high. It is only for the shade I bought this one.
