Hello Gorgeous Ladies!!!
Hope everyone is in the pink of their health. Well, it is supposed to be rainy season, but we are hardly seeing any rains here in Pune. Suddenly my craze has shifted from eyeshadows to lipsticks and my lipstick love is soaring new heights 😛 I keep surfing beauty products sites all day long and my bookmarked sites include only websites relating to beauty and makeup. I think I am obsessed or say addicted to it. So today, I am going to review a lipstick from one of my favorite Indian brands “Lakme.” They surely are improving!
Rs. 260 for 4.3 gm.
Steal the show with an intense, vibrant pout. The added goodness of olive oil and Vitamin E helps keep your lips feeling satin smooth.
Packaging: The Lipstick comes in a silver cardboard box. The lipstick bullet is housed in a short, chubby, round see-through transparent casing with the number of the lipstick at its bottom. One can actually see the turning up mechanism (which kind of puts me off, I mean why would you want to see that) at the bottom. Also, the top of the lipstick has a kind of magnifying effect, so you can see the color of the lipstick a bit magnified.
My Experience with Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick – M427:
M427 is a dark brick red color. It has brown undertones and hence it is not very bright and flashy. It is that kind of red which can be worn with a light hand for day use and with multiple layers for a night out or party. There are no shimmer particles. It’s neither too glossy nor absolute matte, but somewhat in between. The texture of M427 is smooth. I mean it does not tug or pull during application, but it is not very creamy either.
I suffer from dry lips and M427 without any lip balm underneath does not make my lips dry, maybe because of the presence of olive oil and Vitamin E, but at the same time, it is not very hydrating or moisturizing.
Talking about the pigmentation, I must say that M427 is highly pigmented and gives full coverage in a single swipe. Also, a darker shade can be built up by layering. This lipstick feels extremely light on the lips and multiple layers too do not feel heavy. The staying power is around 3-4 hours after which it fades away but a reddish tint with a little darker outline remains behind. I wish it stayed on longer. Also, it transfers and fades away while munching. I don’t think it will survive a full meal.
This lipstick is not waterproof. I wish these lipsticks from the Enrich Satin range are given some cute names as calling them by numbers feels a little heartless!
