Hello Gorgeous Ladies!!!
So, it is a lipstick again! I think I will take some time before I try to stop myself from my crazy lipstick buying spree. I recently bought M427 from the same range and I was very impressed with the kind of performance it gave for the kind of price charged for it, so I went ahead and bought this one as well.
Rs. 260 for 4.3 gm.
Steal the show with an intense, vibrant pout. The added goodness of olive oil and Vitamin E helps keep your lips feeling satin smooth.
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a silver cardboard box. The lipstick bullet is housed in a short, chubby, round see through transparent casing with the number of the lipstick at its bottom. One can actually see the turning up mechanism (which kind of puts me off, I mean why would you want to see that) at the bottom. Also, the top of the lipstick has a kind of magnifying effect, so you can see the color of the lipstick a bit magnified.
My Experience with Lakme Enrich Satin P149 Lipstick:
P149 is a very pretty bright and flashy fuchsia pink. It looked different on the website but it is much prettier in person. There are fine shimmer particles in it, which seem to be visible only in the bullet, but when you apply the lipstick, they are nowhere to be seen, which I really like. It is neither too glossy nor absolute matte, but somewhat in between. The texture of P149 is smooth. I mean it does not tug or pull while application, but it is not very creamy either.
I suffer from dry lips and P149 without any lip balm underneath did not make my lips dry, maybe because of the presence of olive oil and Vitamin E. But at the same time it is not very hydrating or moisturizing.
The pigmentation for P149 is crazy and one can easily go overboard and hence one must be careful while applying and should start with a light hand and build color as required. Also, I would recommend to line the lips first and then apply. P149 is very light on lips and layering does not feel heavy at all. The staying power is around 3-4 hours after which it fades away but a pinkish tint remains behind. I wish it stayed on longer. Also, it transfers and fades away while munching. I don’t think it will survive a full meal.
These do not seem to be waterproof. Also, there is this poppins ( remember that colorful fruity candies) kind of smell to it which goes away in 5-10 minutes after application.
I would love to name it as HOT PINK.
