Today, I am back with a new launch from Lakme. The Lakme eyeconic kajal was a big hit and I did like it a lot. Lakme has now come up with new color versions of the eyeconic one. I spotted these at the counter and I couldn’t recognize it because they were in the same color packaging of the Lakme eyeconic black version. The kajal now is available in green, blue, brown, grey and white. I am really not sure of white on Indian skin tones, but other colors sounded a must try for the price. All the colors are completely matte and matte lovers will grab them. Read on to know more.
I really liked the Lakme eyeconic kajal packaging. It is the same packaging for all the colors except white. I love the turquoise and black combination but the white kajal has a full white body, I wanted this one too fully green, but it is fine. The kajal is sleek and it is a retractable twist up pencil, with a fitted cap. It can fit all purses and is easy and convenient to use when you are travelling. Overall, it is a travel friendly product.
I love blue and green colored liners. It works really well on my dusky skin tone. I have a lot of them but I really wanted to try these because it is completely matte. The color is not very deep green, but with two swipes you can build up very good color intensity. I am sure, many of us will like this green, it is a dark green with a hint of black. The color looked like black in the tube but comes out more green in the swatch.
Texture and pigmentation
The texture of the colored kajal is similar to the black version. They are quite creamy and glide easily on the lids without any tugging. It has good pigmentation, but for a perfect green look you need to apply minimum of two swipes. The formula is smudge proof and doesn’t budge. This one is also waterproof like the black one. I washed my face with a cleanser and it stayed still on my eyes with little fading. You would require a makeup remover to completely get rid of the kajal.
I have normal lids and it stays put for a maximum of 7 hours on my upper lash line with a bit of fading around the outer corner of my eyes. If you have oily lids it might crease faster on you. On my lower lash line it stays for around 4 to 5 hours after which it does budge. So its claim of a 10 hour stay did not last on me.

Cons of the Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green

Will I repurchase and do I recommend the Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in Green?
