My Experience with Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White:
After having an average experience with Jordana White Eyeliner, I wanted a good white eyeliner which would at least last for a few hours on my waterline. I was very excited when an Indian brand – Lakme came up with it. The packaging is similar to that of the regular Eyeconic kajals, the difference is that this is in white color.
The packaging is white and turquoise blue tube, which is twist up, so there is no product wastage. The packaging is sturdy and the cap fits properly making it travel friendly. It is really compact and can be carried around easily. I really like how the packaging is of the same color as the eyeliner and that makes it very easy to locate.
The color is a pure milky white, when I bought it, there were no testers, so I was not sure about that, but when I first swatched the liner, it was not at all matte, in fact had more of a pearly finish with fine silver shimmers. It might look a bit stark as it is white, but then white eyeliner is known to make eyes look bigger, and this one does that properly. It comes off quite opaque white in a single swipe itself, and because it has slight shimmer, it can also be used as a highlighter mainly for brow bone, cupid’s bow and inner corner highlight. It actually works great in that way as once blended, it gives a slight sheen and looks very natural.
The texture is great, it glides like butter; no tugging at all, in fact, this is creamier than the grey one and also more pigmented, but then there is a drawback also; if you apply slightly more pressure, then the tip slightly breaks off, so one has to be careful. It scores in all aspects over the grey one, as only one swipe is required to get complete color payoff, but on waterline, one may need to swipe twice because of the moisture. It can be easily smudged after application and also doubles up as an eyeshadow base and after setting, it becomes completely smudgeproof and also it is waterproof and does not come off that easily, even after rubbing. It does not sting at all or cause any irritation on the waterline. Even people with sensitive eyes can wear it. One has to use a good eye makeup remover to remove it completely.
The lasting power of this one is better than the other one, on waterline is stays for 4-5 hours easily, after which there is slight fading, but it does not come off completely and when used as a highlighter for brow bone and inner corner, it stays for 6 hours which is good. Overall, I like how multi-purpose it is apart from using it as an eyeliner. In the swatch, I have swiped it only once and on the right side, I have blended it out.
Pros of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White:
- Smooth and creamy texture.
- Sturdy and different packaging.
- Multipurpose.
- Good pigmentation in a single swipe.
- Safe for sensitive eyes and waterline.
- Twist up packaging.
- Once set, its smudge and waterproof.
- Reasonably priced.
- Comes in 5 shades.
Cons of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White:
- Has tiny silver shimmers which some may not like.
- Tip breaks if more pressure is applied as it is very soft.
- 10-hour claim is false.
Do I Recommend Lakme Eyeconic Kajal in White?
I like how multipurpose it is as it does open up eyes really well and therefore fulfills the needs, but the shimmer may be a con for some.

I would so like to own a good nude color eyeliner which will suit our indian eyes… Any suggestions anyone????
Only thing is that it looks awful on Kareena Kapoor. It has to be applied very subtly, then only it can brighten the eye. I have also bought one, to make my eyes look less dull.
Thanks for the review. However, since I am a huge fan of kajal, and just can NOT go without it, could you suggest some layering tips to use white eyeliner with kajal, preferably a look that I can wear to office?
Many thanks I advance!! 🙂 🙂 Cheers!!
I disagree with the review. I have used all colors of lakme Kajal ( blue, green, Grey) and the texture is so pathetic that it smudged in less than an hour. I would not recommend this product at all.
