Today I am going to review a newly launched Eyeconic kajal by Lakme India. I love their entire range of kajal. Basically I am a girl who mostly wears color kajal rather than black. That’s true. So I picked up this new shade. Let’s get into the review.
Price: Rs. 275/- for .35 g

• No smudge

My Experience with Lakme Eyeconic Regal Green Kajal:
Lakme recently launched three new shades. I got two of them. Lakme has also increased Eyeconic kajals’ price from Rs 250 to Rs 275. I don’t know why but all the claims are same and only the shades are different. These new shades are more gorgeous and little shimmery. I totally love these.
Packaging: It comes in sturdy black and turquoise blue packaging. The shade name is printed at the bottom of the pencil. If you have more shades from this range, then it is quite difficult to find one that you want. They all look the same. They should change at least the cap’s color. Pencil is retractable and easy to use and obviously travel friendly.
Shade: I have the shade Regal Green. I already have the green Eyeconic kajal. But that is not a proper green. This new regal green is such a beautiful forest green shade. It has some microshimmers in it, and so it looks so shiny and gorgeous on eyes. I have brown eye, so it looks beautiful on me. Shimmers are not overpowering.
It is really pigmented and will suit almost all skin tones. I just swipe it twice for the desired look.
Texture and quality: It has a very smooth texture. It glides on my eyes smoothly and provides a nice pigmented color. I feel that the texture is quite improved. These new shades are smoother than the previous ones. It goes on my water line easily. There is no tugging during application. It glides easily also on the eyelid. If I want a smoky look, then I need a quick blending to create that look. I feel that this kajal can be used as an eyeshadow base also. It comes with a smudge-proof and waterproof formula.
Staying power: Lakme claims that it is a 10-hour kajal which is not true. But I must say that this is a long-lasting kajal. It stays on me for almost 7-8 hours. After that, it starts fading a little. On my water line, it stays for almost 5 hours. Only after 8-9 hours it settles at the outer corner of my eyes if I have drawn a winged line. I have too oily skin so it happens with me always. Formula is not the super smudge-proof like the black one. It smudges little at the end of the day. But it never creases at all if I draw a thick line. You need an oil-based makeup remover to remove it quickly.
Overall, I love this shade. I wear glasses, so color kajal always looks nice on me.
Pros of Lakme Eyeconic Regal Green Kajal:
• Sturdy travel-friendly packaging.
• Gorgeous perfect green shade with some microshimmers.
• Soft creamy texture glides smoothly on eyes.
• Great pigmentation.
• Smudge-proof, water-proof.
• Never irritated my eyes.
• Can be use as a green eyeshadow for its beautiful shiny texture.
Cons of Lakme Eyeconic Regal Green Kajal:
• 10-hour claim is not true.
• Not completely super smudge-proof like the black version.
IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Eyeconic Regal Green Kajal?
Yes, this is the actual green shade which I love. Kajal lovers definitely try this shade. It is a nice partywear shade and not for daily wear. But I don’t mind to wear it daily. That’s a personal choice obviously.
