CATWALK by TIGI ‘Sleek Mystique’ – Lakme Fashion Week Winter 2010

LAKMÉ STUDIO joined forces with CATWALK by TIGI for the second season in a row at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010 with a special show by Indian designer Arjun Saluja to launch the CATWALK by TIGI ‘Sleek Mystique’ collection in India. The CATWALK by TIGI ‘Sleek Mystique’ range of products is exclusively available at Lakmé Studios and select Lakmé Salons.

Rishta by Arjun Saluja presented his collection ‘Resurrection’ focusing on the connect between the sleek strength of budo, the rebellion of the Japanese underground, and his own fascination with the dark mystical sides of these incongruent Japanese art forms. What resulted was a stylish and structured concept combining Lakmé Studio and TIGI’s sleek styling together with Arjun Saluja’s razor sharp tailoring. Akos Bodi – European Education Director TIGI, along with Lakmé Studio’s hair experts, who’ve been trained by the TIGI International Creative team, recreated hair looks from the ‘Sleek Mystique’ collection that worked in perfect harmony with Arjun’s vision.

On the occasion, Arjun Saluja stated, “Sleek, Mystique; Structure and Mystery are terms that define Catwalk by TIGI’s new range and my inherent sensibility. It’s a great opportunity to do something different. My collection compliments the hairstyles that have been created by the TIGI Creative team and the experts at Lakmé Studio and reiterates the fact that hair and fashion together work in creating a complete concept.”

“At TIGI, we have always worked very closely with fashion designers both to create our own collections and imagery and also to support fashion designers at fashion weeks in London, New York, Paris, Milan and India. We are very excited to be invited once again by Lakme Studio, and to have the opportunity to work with a great young Indian designer, Arjun. His latest collection fits perfectly with our Catwalk Sleek Mystique range. I always say that the TIGI International Creative Team are not fashion creators but inspired by fashion to create hairstyles that work in synergy with the latest catwalk ideas”, said Anthony Mascolo, hair dressing icon and TIGI International Creative Director.

CATWALK Sleek Mystique allows users to create different variations of beautiful straight hair – shiny, frizz-free and manageable, exactly the kind of beautiful hair that many Indian women desire.

  1. I need fresh page for my comments…sorry Rati…comment not related to post. I went shopping shopping allll the wayyy to Health and Glow…bought Vaseline Men’s Fairness Face Wash… 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 …hubby refuses to give it to me now…and I got a peel off mask…and I got a key chain….hhehehheee…had to share my shopping haul with you all. I saw Aisha…then saw Twilight…one ROTTEN..and the second one okkkkkayyyy…me off to sleep now…goooooooooooooood night ..

      1. Not surprising…Twilight (the first one) was the worst book I’ve read in my life.  And believe me I’ve read my share of Sweet Valley Highs during my school days. :rotfl:
I mean the plot is absolutely ludicrous, but then all fantasy fiction is. But it couldn’t be salvaged because Meyer has a very limited imagination and overall isn’t a very strong writer.
I guess the scriptwriters must have done a good job adapting the book in a screenplay because I’ve heard a lot of people rave about the movies!
Guess another reason to love the Harry Potter series even more! :nerd:

        1. D, you really can’t compare the Harry Potter series with Twilight. Meyer imagination would get 2/10 if you start comparing the two. I have always felt that the Harry Potter movies have not done justice to the books. 🙁 Same with twilight. I liked the books but the movies, not so much.

Yeah Harry potter and Lord of the Rings would be quite unbeatable.

        1. Are you gals talking bout twlight like that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i love twilight! i am crazzy twigal….i have all the 4 books ,and posters and even a limited edition twlight journal set, bought off the money i was saving up to buy my first MAC product..and i dont even write in journals! i am diseased with twilight fever!

  2. I love the skirt in the second outfit. It’s something I’d actually wear…
Not feeling the hair as much
He should have gone for sleek pin straight bobs on all the models for maximum effect imho…

  3. i always believe that there’s only one movie which did justice to the book it was adapted from!!that is The Godfather. the harry potter movie series never came up to the mark!!
