Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints – Part II
Here comes the second instalment of Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints that I had hauled on behalf of IMBB Team. I have covered some of the nail polishes from this range here. As I had informed in my previous post, the price of the nail paint has been hiked from Rs. 175 to Rs. 199, though you can still get these nail paints at Rs. 175 on some online shopping sites.
I am covering some subtle and pastel shades from this range in this post. Some nail paints like Aqua Blaze and Aqua Express are very sheer and even two coats don’t bring the color on the nails. The staying power of this nail paint is around 2 days with minimal chipping. If you are someone who does a lot of house work, it won’t even last that much. Some shades that I showed in the last post were opaque, which showed up pretty well in one and two coats.
Coming to the unique brush, the brush is pretty wide and broad as you can see.
The nail paint sets pretty quickly, I think 40 seconds is what it takes to set down and you can go through the second coat after that. My friend, Gudiya (yes, she looks like a doll) helped me by letting me do the NOTDs on her nails. As for my nails, I have done the NOTD for “Lady Pink” shade.

Starting with Pearl Pink:
Pearl Pink is a pastel shade, kind of a milky pink with very minute shimmer. Though the color shows up with just one coat, you would require up to two coats to get a robust color.
Gold Shimmer
Gold Shimmer is a metallic gold shade with lots of shimmer. You need to remove this shade with a good-quality nail polish remover, otherwise, it will leave a lot of shimmer on the nails and hands. Its not a thick viscous shade, but rather a liquid one with mobile shimmer, apt to be worn at wedding functions, etc.
Lady Pink
Lady Pink is a beautiful baby pink pastel shade with lots of shimmer. This is a beautiful day time wear shade and you would need up to two coats for it to show it in all its glory, my favourite from this range. Its almost a natural healthy pink color.
Purple Plunge
Purple Plunge is a sort of lilac color with lots of shimmer. Again, this is a pastel shade that is perfect for day time wear. This shade too is very liquid with lots of mobile shimmer.
Gold Caramel
Gold Caramel is a pearly golden shade with subtle and minute shimmer. The gold shimmer is very subdued. I personally was looking out for such a gold shade for a long time.
Silver Cloud
Silver Cloud is the perfect metallic silver shade with lots of mobile shimmer. If you are looking out for a silver shade, then this is it!
Flaming Apricot
Flaming Apricot is a peach shade with very subtle pink shimmer. One coat is enough to bring out the colour, but with two coats, you get a strong colour.
Silver High
Silver High is a white nail paint with subtle shimmer. It goes on sheer with one coat and two coats also doesn’t do any justice. It can be used as a base for nail arts.
Going Green
Purple Potion
Purple Potion is a pastel shade of purple and it contains minute and subtle shimmer.
Purple Fix
Purple Fix is the perfect purple shade with high gloss finish. Just one coat brings out the colour on to the nails.
Crimson Pink
Crimson Pink is a dark shade of pink with a hint of red. It is an opaque shade with no shimmer.
Aqua Express
Aqua Express is a metallic aqua blue color with lots of shimmer. Though this is a lovely color, it is very sheer and does not show up on the nails even with two coats. This can be used as a top coat over other plain nail paints to get some shimmer.
Flaming Orange
Flaming Orange is a true orange shade with no shimmer or glitter. It goes on opaque and imparts a glossy finish to the nails.
Crimson Crush
Crimson Crush is a beautiful crimson pink shade with subtle shimmer. It is an apt bridal nail paint.
Spicy Pink
Spicy Pink is a bright “holi” pink colour that peps up the nails. It has no shimmer, is opaque, and imparts a glossy finish to the nails.
Popping Pink
Popping Pink is a dusty pink shade with no shimmer. It goes opaque with just coat and imparts a glossy finish to the nails.
Punchy Pink
Punchy Pink is a beautiful pink shade with lots of subtle blue-toned shimmer. The beauty of this shade is that not only it shows up pretty well with two coats, but then if you use it as a finishing coat on a dull nail polish shade, it will pep up the nails.

A single coat of popping pink would be good for base coat in french manicures, a little brighter than clear shades.. Loved all your rings!!
