Lakme Glide On Eye Color – Peacock Green Review

Lakme Glide On Eye Color – Peacock Green Review

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today, I am going to review a beautiful green eyeliner pencil.  I was eyeing this for quite a few days and now finally got it 🙂

This is my first green eyeliner pencil.  I am more into blacks and blues, but love how this green looks on me.

My Take on Lakme Glide On Eye Color – Peacock Green:

Packaging:

It comes in a pencil form that can be sharpened before using.  Packaging is quite sturdy.  My pencil fell down thrice while taking the pictures and the cap is still intact without a single crack.

Texture:

It is quite creamy and glides on like a dream. Doesn’t require too much of effort or pressure to glide so that the color would show up.

Color:

It is a well pigmented eye pencil. If your eyes are not as watery as mine, then you will need 2 swipes for the color to show up. I have to glide it 3 -4 times for full color.  It is a gorgeous green color, true to its name, it is indeed ” Peacock Green.” It has that lovely sheen which makes your eyes look gorgeous.

Most green eye pencils are dull dark and look flat on me and others which are bright green fail to show up on my water line, hence I never got them. I haven’t seen a green anywhere close to this.  I love this color. It isn’t loud or hideous.

Swatches – 1st and 2nd from left applied with extremely light hand and the the last one applied with very little pressure.

Staying Power:

It is waterproof and doesn’t smudge after splashing water or washing the face. It stays on for 4 hours or so on my waterline (my eyes are watery), after which it fades away.  It would stay on longer on your lid, practically the entire day.

Pros of Lakme Glide On Eye Color – Peacock Green:

  • Creamy.
  • Waterproof.
  • Well pigmented.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Does not sting the waterline.
  • Can double up as a cream eyeshadow.

Cons of Lakme Glide On Eye Color – Peacock Green:

  • It fades away (when applied on the waterline ) after 4 hours, but I don’t mind touch ups after an interval of 4 hours.

IMBB Rating:

Excellent 😀 😀

    1. Thanks Ajum

I remember when I was not much into makeup I used to buy that fat Lakme Kajal.. hehehe.. I quite loved that one.. I don’t think you get that anymore …

  2. I have this since over a year now… And i do agree it is a beautiful green shade. The only problem is whenever i apply it, i feel i look weird. :'( maybe it goes well with black irises….
I apply it each time and then ultimately remove it.
But yes the colour is beautiful and the pencil is very smooth
Loved the pic with the peacock feather
