After going through previous post of Lakme Nine to Five Kohl Ultimate swatches, many of you were quite interested in purchasing this new beauty from Lakme but its price was a turn off for all. 🙁 I bought this Kohl some three weeks back. I had no intention to buy this, after reading posts of Rati and Sabrina on Lakme Satin Kajal, I had gone to buy that. But returned back buying this. :tongue: It always happens this way with me. I bought this Kohl, after seeing its swatches with the tester that the SA provided me. Even the SA was wearing the same, and I saw it was intense black, the one I have always wanted. :woot:
Price- Rs 650, I got this after discount at Rs- 602

This is the cute sharpener provided with the Kohl.
The smudger is made up of rubber and is slanted, I like smudgers with sponge tip, others may like this one.

My Experience
I have used Kajal from Lotus, Jovees, Biotique, Streetwear, Lakme( Previous one), but never got that smudgeproof intense black look that I have always desired. I have several Kajals with me now but do not use them much. I had gone to buy Lakme Satin kajal but the SA showed me this and I realized this is what I have always wanted. It’s very soft, glides smoothly; one needs just one 1-2 swipes for the intense black look. When I applied this one on my waterline, it did not sting at all. Once you apply, it sets and it doesn’t smudge even a bit with the smudger. God knows why they provided the smudger, may be to attract customers. One cannot do smoky look with this kohl. Its staying power is really high. Stays for 6-7 hours with little bit fading. This is better than anything I have in my collection. :yahoo: :thumbsup:

-It’s absolutely smudgeproof.
-It’s waterproof.
-Gives intense black look with one to two swipes.

-It has staying power of 8 hours and from my experience I will confirm this claim. :jalwa:

-Kohl is very smooth, glides effortlessly.
-Packaging is very attractive.
-It will last me for a long time.
-It has creamy texture.
-It fades evenly.
Cons of Lakme Nine to Five Kohl Ultimate

-Very soft and thus prone to breakage.

Shall I purchase this again? :nono: No I won’t buy this again because of its price. I get nearly the same result with Maybelline New York Colossal kajal.
Overall Recommendation: One can keep at least one of these in their collection if there is not much constrain on the budget. Otherwise Maybelline kajal is quite good.

Good morning to all of you…gotta buy the maybelline kajal now after hearing rave reviews abt it. for the past couple of days i have changed my eye makeup a bit and have receiving some nice compliments especially from my husband..doing the waterline thingie and slight eyeshadow basically nad it has made a very nice difference to the way i look if i say so myself :victory2: :whistle: how cool is that!!!! :makeup: :makeup:

Hey… I have use maybelline kajal in gel form and staying power is rellay long.. Doesnt smudge at all.. Available at cost of 375

Even I have watery eyes, but this did suit me, not a single one from biotique,jovees, vlcc did suit me !!But this one has very different formula,before your eyes water,it sets in,thts lovely part,one swipe and you are done.

I got this about 2 weeks back because I was just so irritated with the Colossal kajal smudging. It’s expensive no doubt,but definitely worth every penny! Stays on my super duper oily eyelids for a good 8 hours(I put this on at 8am, and it’s still the same at 430pm) with a little bit of fading near the tear duct.
i would say go for this if you don’t have a budget constraint and want something that stays on for ages!
btw, the price has been increased to 675. though, it’s still available for 650 on some websites.
