I have recently picked new variants from Lakme Lip Love Lip Care range – Mango and Watermelon. Today, I am reviewing its “watermelon” variant. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Watermelon:
Lakme lip love lip care Watermelon comes in a nice green and pink colour cardboard paper packaging. All the details are nicely described on the outer packaging. The outer cardboard packaging has some swirled patterns over it in white and pink colour. The packaging does not contain any ingredients list. The lip balm tube is a simple retractable type. It has a clear cap, which shuts with an audible click. The cap comes off easily. So, it is not super travel friendly.
The shade ‘Watermelon’ comes in a bullet packaging. The bullet is bright pinkish red in green tube. It is a sheer lip balm with very medium pigment. On hand swatches, it looks light pink but on my lips, it looks almost sheer. The shade looks natural and pretty on my lips.
The shade name is mentioned on the cardboard packaging and at the base of the tube as well. These lip balms are slightly tinted. So, if you want a good colour on your lips, you must apply multiple swipes. The lip balm is cute pink in colour and looks so natural on the lips. Layering gives a pretty colour.
The lip balm has a fresh watermelon fragrance. I love this fruity scent so much because, I always love fruity fragrances more. It has some typical candy like fragrance, which I absolutely love and feel like eating it up. So, for me, the fragrance is absolutely non-bothering. It stays for hardly 15- 20 minutes and fades away super quickly. The lip balm also comes with an SPF 15, which is quite good and essential to keep your lips protected from harmful sun rays. The lip balm has a creamy core. It feels buttery smooth and light on the lips. It glides on smoothly all over the lip. It is non-sticky. It has a very light pigment which can’t hide the pigmentation on the lips. Actually, it is more of a sheer lip balm.
The formula is nice and moisturizing. It keeps my lips hydrated. It healed up my dry and chapped lips. The lasting power is somewhere around 4 hours with drinking. The lip balm does not survive any meal, but my lips do not feel dry even after the lip balm vanishes. Overall, it is a great product.

Do I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Watermelon?
Lakme Lip Love Lip care Watermelon is an average lip balm. I am definitely not going to repurchase this. If you don’t mind its low pigment and reapplication, you can give it a try.
