Lakme M423 Enrich Satin Lipstick Review

Hope you all are doing well. Today, I am going to review yet another bold lipstick from my stash and this time it’s from our very own Lakme Enrich Satin range of lipsticks. This might sound strange, but ever since they have changed the dull and boring maroon packaging, I have been quite drawn to this range and I’m on a mission to collect most of the shades( the ones that I like obviously). So, let’s see how this one turned out.

My Experience with Lakme M423 Enrich Satin Lipstick:

As we all know by now, Lakme products have got a facelift and so has this range. The lipstick now comes in a see through cylindrical case which is really handy and easy to carry around. Its see through cap makes it easy to locate the shade in the stash. I quite like the new packaging as it’s not embarrassing anymore to do touch ups with this new one. The lipstick now also has an outer carton, so I must say that Lakme has put in quite some thought in revamping the range. The only downside to this packaging is that no complete list of ingredients is mentioned anywhere.

The lipstick has the usual Enrich Satin fragrance which most of us are familiar with and personally I do not find it really overpowering or nauseating, but I know many people detest this fragrance. Coming to the shade M423, it’s an out and out wine red shade and is a great pick for dusky skinned women. I really love the way it brightens up the face instantly and I can totally go easy and lazy with my makeup when I have this one on. It is really suited for evening occasions and looks great with traditional wear. Personally, I love such bold shades and I often wear it in dab-dab motion for regular wear to have that berry stained look.

In terms of texture, I find this lippie quite amazing. It’s quite moisturising and glides really smoothly on the lips. There’s no need for any lip balm underneath and doesn’t dry out the lips with time. Further, it doesn’t really emphasize the fine lines and gives a smooth appearance to the lips. Pigmentation wise, this lipstick turned out to be pretty impressive as well. Being a dark shade, it’s intensely pigmented and one swipe ensures saturated colour on the lips. It gives full coverage and is thus an amazing pick for girls with pigmented lips.

The staying power though is pretty average, that is, 2 -3 hours and disappears completely post a meal and reapplication becomes a must. This also has a positive side to it, that is, there’s no cheap stain left behind and one is spared the hassle of removing the stain with a makeup remover. The annoying part is that it transfers a lot so one needs to be really careful with this one to prevent the ‘tell-tale’ signs and I would suggest the layering and blotting method for wearing this one.

Overall, I quite like this lippie as I am really fond of deep and bold shades and it’s a decent addition to my kitty. This could be a great pick for brides-to-be and for women who like dark shades in general as quality wise this one’s pretty good.
