A big hello to all you IMBBians,
Our in-house brand Lakme has finally heard our complaints and launched new packaging for its range of lipstick ‘Enrich Satin’; if that’s not enough, along with the new packaging a few new shades have also been introduced most of them belonging to the pink family. This was a sudden launch and wasn’t announced before-hand.
It was day before yesterday that I went to Lakme for the CC cream purchase and the SA showed me this new launch and I was too happy to try them all, finally buying three lippies from the newly launched, reviewing this lippie first 😀 read on to know if it’s a hit or a miss.
Price: Rs 260/- for 4.3 g
Shelf life: 24 months
Scent: The same old floral kind of smell.
Claims:
Steal the show with an intense, vibrant pout. The added goodness of olive oil and Vitamin E helps keep your lips feeling satin smooth.
My take on Lakme Enrich Satin lipstick-P165:
I’m sure all of us were tired of the dull purple packaging of Lakme lipstick which has been around for just too many years. Finally, Lakme heard our complaints and changed its packaging and also introduced a few new shades. The lipstick comes in a transparent packaging which comes in a silver cardboard box. The prices have been raised to Rs 260/- which is just fine for the change in packaging. The lipstick stick shuts with a click and is convenient for travel purpose. The dull old packaging is now replaced by a chic see-through transparent packaging which is thumbs up. What hasn’t changed is its old floral smell !
P165 is a subtle pink shade which is buildable and can be worn for almost an occasion may it be to office or a date night or a casual hang out with friends. It isn’t really shimmery but has a glossy sheen to it, like most other shades from this range.
Talking of the texture, it’s smooth, soft and glides easily over lips. The creamy texture doesn’t settle into fine lines and keeps lips moisturized. No lip balm is required over or under the lipstick. This lipstick doesn’t even dry out the lips which is quite appreciable. This lipstick is quite pigmented and one swipe gives enough color to the lips but for intense color, more swipes will be required.
This lipstick stays on for 2 to 3 hours. Although it can survive light meals and drinks, it tends to become uneven later. Pressing lips together will do the trick in making it a little even but I prefer reapplication. It is a little transferable and also bleeds a little in the later hours. But otherwise, it’s a great lipstick to buy at this price.
Pros of Lakme Enrich Satin lipstick-P165:
• New revised packaging
• Subtle shade
• Creamy texture
• Wide shade options
• High pigmentation
• Moisturizing
• Inexpensive
• Easily available
• Decent stay power
• Glossy finish
• Travel convenient
• Contains olive oil and Vitamin E
Cons of Lakme Enrich Satin lipstick-P165:
• Old floral smell.
• Transferable.
• No shade name, just codes are given.
• Ingredients not mentioned.
Will I repurchase Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick PB165?

This shade won’t suit me, but it’s pretty, nonetheless. This range is very promising. 🙂
