My experience with Lakme Perfect Definition eye pencil:

To tell the truth, I prefer retractable pencils over these woody ones as those prevent wastage. Secondly, I am so happy with my retractable VOV pencils that I am in no mood of trying anything more expensive. This pencil has a very basic look to it with a transparent plastic top. There is no sharpener. The pencil is decently pigmented and not superbly pigmented as I had expected. The texture is a tad bit drying. I like my eye pencils to be smooth and gliding. This one is none! It pulled and tugged at my eyelids when I tried to draw a winged line  but yes, the staying power is good. It does not wash away with plain water. You would need a face wash or cleansing milk for the same. Another con is that it is too dry to be used on the waterline. Here are the wrist swatches.

Finally here are the EOTDs. I had a really hard time doing this. Pardon me for any imperfection. This is the first and the last time I am using this pencil for my make up!

Pros of Lakme Perfect Definition eye pencil :

I cannot find any !

Cons of Lakme Perfect Definition eye pencil:

• Overpriced for such a terrible pencil.
• Pigmentation is poor.
• Drying and tugs on lids.
• Cannot be used on waterline.

Now I know why this was lying unused in my bag.

Do I recommend Lakme Perfect Definition Eyeliner?

Am I mad enough to do that?

Will I repurchase Lakme Perfect Definition Eyeliner?

Only if someone hypnotizes me to do the same.

    1. thanks a lot kavitha! i just used a highlighter under the brow bone, applied greyish black eyeshadow all over the eyelid and blended the crease with a matte brown eye shadow. next drew a winged line with the eyeliner and a blue liner on the lower lashline 🙂

  1. Awww..I love the cute puppet thingy 🙂
And I totally agree with the review! I had this one and I was fed up with all the smudging and dryness that I started using it as a marker for writing 😀

  2. I agree with Neha. The eye makeup is flawless and looks so very pretty. wish it had its pros. when i read the first line i was like wow someone else like me. there are so many things i dont use but dont feel like throwing away either.

    1. thanks a lot aru 🙂 yeah there are things which just adds to the clutter but we dont feel like throwing them away( god knows why!) 😀

  3. woooooooooo.. wt a lovely eotd.. 🙂 stunning & flawless aparajita..!! I too own 2-2 lakme kajals, still use them everyday though my wet n wild sharpener ate them halfway.. 😛

    1. thanks a lot neetu :* lakme’s kaajals are good re… i don’t understand what made them make such a bakwas pencil though 🙁

    1. Thanks a lot saim 😀 well, since my skin is not sensitive i am at a liberty to use local brands too. This blue is one such unknown brand.. Super creamy n vibrant nd inexpenxiv too. N eyeshadw is konad iloje in black. I hv reviewd tht already 🙂

    2. thanks so much saim 🙂 blue one is a local brand re… my skin is not sensitive, so i can try these local unknown brands too 🙂

  4. I was having my ‘worstest’ of worst days in office when I decided to check IMBB. And I started laughing reading your review. Thanks Aparajita! :* :* . I too have this pencil, dont knw why I bought this in the first place. But I do use this as a touch-up thingy. I keep this in my ofc bag as I dnt want to spoil my maybelline colossal or lakme eyconic kajals by throwing in my office bag. I use good eyeliners/kajals in the mrng n use this lakdi ki/ka pencil (one of the mallus who doesnt understand why ki/ ka was invented, I get it wrong always) as touch-up.

  5. Hhahha.. I totally agree with the ka ki thing. My mum is a hindi teacher and she had a hard time with me when i ws in school;) n u r ryt, it just a wooden pencil.. I wd rather sketch with it on my drawing book 😀

    1. 😀 actually my mom used this on her eyebrows and my dad on his moustache 😀 😉
Btw i stitched a blouse similar to urs after ur OOTD.. Thanks dear 🙂
