My Take on Lakme PM13 Enrich Matte Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in the same old boring Lakmé packaging. It has a matte silver colored plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colored cardboard packaging that has product description, etc., but the ingredients list is missing. The lipsticks from this range have just the shade numbers, the names are missing, and it’s a bit difficult to associate the shades with these numbers. Overall, the packaging is fine but it looks flimsy.

The shade #PM12 is a cool-toned Barbie pink shade. The shade is indeed very pretty and is flattering on my skin tone. This shade will suit very fair skin tones only. It is absolutely free of shimmer and frost. The lipstick sets to a nice semi-matte finish after a few minutes of application. Pigmentation wise, this is the most sheer shade in the Lakme Enrich Matte range. It gives light coverage in one swipe, but even after several swipes, it does not deliver opaque coverage. So, it fails to hide pigmented lips and looks a little patchy on the lips.

Texture wise, the lipstick is fine. It glides smoothly on the lips without any dragging of the lips. The lipstick has matte formula that makes it cling to the dry patches of the lips. So, prepping the lips is mandatory to make the lipstick look smooth and even. The formula is slightly moisturizing. It does not dry out the lips but this moisturization lasts for some 2-3 hours only. The lipstick does not have any hydrating properties and it does nothing to keep the lips nourished. The texture is lightweight and feels ultra comfortable on the lips. This lipstick has a tendency to transfer a lot.

The staying power of the lipstick is some 3-4 hours only without having any meal or anything. The lasting power is quite low. It does not survive even light meals and fades away from the corners of the lips. The color settles into the fine lines of the lips when the lipstick gets ripped off. Though, there are no big smudging issues with this lipstick, there is slight feathering from the outer corners of the lips. The lipstick leaves a cheap pink stain behind, that is easy to remove, but looks a little ugly.
