My Experience with Lakme RM14 Enrich Matte Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a boring Lakmé packaging. It has a matte silver colored plastic casing with a clear cap. The cap shuts tightly making the packaging travel-friendly. The only difference in this and the enrich satin range is the matte finish of this range. This lipstick tube comes in a silver colored cardboard packaging that has the product description etc. But the ingredients list is missing. The packaging is not very attractive but definitely very travel-friendly.
The shade RM14 is a bright red shade with slightly bluish undertones. This shade will perfectly suit fair to medium skin tones. It is a gorgeous bright red shade. It is a perfect bridal red shade. The shade is bright and perks up my skin tone instantly. The shade is bright and surely not an everyday shade. But, it is surely fit for parties and weddings. There are no sheen or shimmers in this lipstick. Pigmentation wise the lipstick is great. It requires some 2-3 swipes to build up the color properly. The color is easily buildable and does not crease upon layering. It hides those pigmented lips nicely, giving a nice opaque finish. The lipstick sets to a nice matte finish.
The texture of the lipstick is soft and smooth. It glides effortlessly on the lips and does not dry out the lips. The lipstick is creamy in nature, which makes it transfer easily. It keeps the lips soft and nourished for long. The formula is nice, moisturising and non-drying. The color easily clings to the dry parts of the lips; hence exfoliating the lips is a must. Otherwise, it looks ugly on dry and parched lips. Though it feels moisturising and comfortable on the lips initially, my lips start to feel dry after a few hours of application. The lipstick smudges easily, so it’s better to apply a lip liner to prevent the lipstick from bleeding.
The color lasts for some 4-5 hours with a little fading. The lipstick does not survive a full heavy meal and fades away from the inner corners of the lips. The color settles into the fine lines of the lips after a meal. So, it definitely requires an instant reapplication. The lipstick leaves a cheap stain behind that it a little difficult to remove. Overall, this is an average, budget-friendly lipstick from Lakme.
