My Experience with Lakme Ruby Result 9 to 5 Crease-Less Creme Lipstick:
The lipstick comes in a very pretty and sleek rose gold case which locks tightly. The packaging is super convenient to travel with and is great for touch ups on the go. There’s no shade indicator but a sticker having the shade name and number attached to the base. I really wish Lakme did something about the shade indication a bit as for hoarders like me, it becomes really difficult to find a particular shade when in a rush. There’s an outer carton for the lipstick as well that holds various details like the date of manufacturing, expiry, etc. Overall, I find the packaging quite pretty and functional with the only con being the lack of proper shade indicator.
These Crease-less Crème lipsticks have a yummy vanilla fragrance which I absolutely adore and I love to catch a whiff of these while swiping the lipstick on my lips. Coming to the shade Ruby Result, as is evident from the name itself, it’s a beautiful deep red shade with slight golden shimmers. Generally, I HATE shimmers in my lipsticks, but this shade is an exception as the shimmers are not so overpowering and the deep red shade is soooo eye catching that I just had to have it. The good part is that the shimmers aren’t so obvious on the lips and just add a bit of shine to the colour. This makes it apt for the upcoming festive season. The red being on the deeper side would suit a lot of complexions and is again one of those reds that add an instant brightness to the face.
Makeup wise, a bold winged eyeliner and a clean base is all that one would need to rock this shade. In terms of texture, I would say I have fallen head over heels in love with this range after trying out this lipstick as it gives the perfect satin finish to my lips, without being overtly creamy. Usually, I steer clear of creamy lipsticks as they give me a very annoying and sticky feel on my lips, but not this one. I love the way it adds just the right amount of moisture to my lips and doesn’t get so creamy and saucy that it would start moving around and bleeding, thereby creating a mess around the mouth.
It doesn’t dry out the lips with time and doesn’t highlight the lines and wrinkles, so I am guessing that the crease-less claim is quite true. Pigmentation wise, this lipstick is again a winner as one swipe gives completely saturated colour to the lips and there’s no need to layer the lippy.The lipstick being a bold one has a decent staying power of 4-5 hours. It survives small snacks pretty well, but disappears completely leaving a slight tint post a full meal and reapplication becomes a must. I would add that the 9 to 5 claim is absolute far-fetched.

• Gives a beautiful satin finish
• Doesn’t highlight the fine lines on the lips
Cons of Lakme Ruby Result 9 to 5 Crease-Less Creme Lipstick:
• Lack of shade indicator makes it difficult to find the shade in the stash during rush hours
• Presence of gold shimmers annoys me a bit
• 9 to 5 claim is too farfetched

Overall, I am absolutely in love with this range from Lakme, and I totally recommend this shade for the upcoming festive season, and also for the brides-to-be. I would definitely go back and pick more shades from this range as I love the bright ones it’s offering at such a reasonable price. Moreover, I am absolutely loving the recent quality improvement in all of the Lakme products even if it means a little price hike. Honestly, I am not complaining as foreign brands are doing the same every other day ( MAC, I am looking at you!). I would happily splurge on Indian brands over the western ones as that satisfies my swadesi spirit.
