Lakme Lip Love Sangria Seduction Lipstick Review, Swatch
Hello IMBB beauties…
My endless love for lipstick got boosted when I happened to stumble over IMBB. I am sure so many beauties will agree and nod nod nod while reading this statement. Today I am going to review a lipstick from my collection which happens to be very special because this was added to my stash during my makeup haul for my wedding. There is an “unexplainable” love for red when you get married; even if you do not have it in you, people around you will inject the love for red.
Lakme Sangria Seduction comes in a plastic packaging with a metallic red outer coating. The word LOVE is written with silver on the outer case. Also the bullet has the word embossed on it.(are we losing some product for the emboss?) The cap fits with a click and hence you can safely carry it your purse. The shade name is written at the bottom but there is no color code for the specific colors, so if you have more than one shade from this range you might get lost(no pun) 😀
Lakme Sangria Seduction is from the Lip Love collection of Lakme. I have two other shades from this collection which have lovely finish but this specific color’s finish is dud. I have to use a lip brush to apply else this is very dry in the bullet itself; imagine how painful it will be on your lips. I have no idea if the problem is with the piece I own or for this color in general. There are no shimmers in this particular shade.
Pigmentation is pretty good considering you apply it with a lip brush. You can build on the color if you wish to.
Stays for a pretty long time, 3-4 hours depending on the food you intake. You will find the color is transferring to your tea cups or coffee mugs but it will not disappear from your lips. Again Lakme Sangria Seduction will leave pinkish stain behind which I do not like at all.
My experience with Lakme Lip Love Sangria Seduction Lipstick:
As already mentioned this lipstick is special as it came in the makeup tray from my in-laws, in Bengali we call this ritual “Totto”. Though the finish bothers me slightly but I am not going to give up on this. The color is red with pink-purple undertones and looks great with Indian party wear. Does not settle onto fine lines which is good for me.
Rs 550 for 3.5gms
Pros of Lakme Lip Love Sangria Seduction Lipstick:
• Nice shade
• Good attractive packaging
• Decent price for the amount of product
Cons of Lakme Lip Love Sangria Seduction Lipstick:
• Dry bullet
4.75/5 (0.25 deducted for being dry)
Will I repurchase/recommend Lakme Sangria Seduction?
Probably no, because I have spotted few more reds in other brands, will first lay my hands on them.
Yes, if you are looking for a decent red lipstick, give this a try. Make sure you check the bullet before purchase, mine is dry!
Take care beauties….Muah!

this one looks really pretty! Both, the packaging as well as the lip swatches are lovely! Sadly i am not a lipstick person. I forced myself to purchase a lipstick on 2 occasions, and then ended up giving them away to my mom :-/
