Here is another orange obsession of mine. Today’s review is going to be about a new shade from the Lakme Lip Love Lip Care range. They have recently launched three new shades of this lip balm; I have the shade ‘Tangerine’. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Tangerine:
Packaging: Lakme lip love comes in a nice and bright orange colored cardboard paper packaging. All the details are nicely described on the outer packaging. The packaging actually indicates the shade of this balm. Honestly, I don’t like the cap. According to its price, the cap looks a little cheap in quality. Also, the cap comes off easily; it is not super travel-friendly.
Shade: I have the shade ‘Tangerine’. The bullet looks deep orange in the tube. But actually, it is a sheer lip balm. On hand swatches, it looks quite orange but on my lips, it looks bright peach and not orange. The shade looks natural and pretty on my lips. This shade doesn’t contain any shimmer and it gives lovely tinted lips. The pigmentation of this shade is low and the actual color isn’t noticeable on my tanned skin. It might look better on fair skin, though. The balm can’t hide your pigmented lip totally.
Texture & Quality: The texture of this lip balm is very smooth, almost like butter, and it easily glides on the lips. It has a creamy core which provides smooth application. It gives a nice shine to my lips. If I layer it up, it looks glossier and shinier. It provides nicely moisturized lips and makes my dry lips instantly soft. The tint looks cute and it gives a healthy glow to my lips.
It feels light on the lips and it is a non-sticky lip balm. It heals my dry lips nicely but I feel this balm is not moisturizing enough for my lips. But it works nicely during summer. It has a beautiful and fresh scent of oranges. I totally love this yummy smell which stays on for 10-15 minutes after the application. It has an SPF 15 which is great.
Staying power: It doesn’t stay for long on my lips. Without having anything, it stays for around 3 hours. After 2 hours, the tint fades a little but my lips still look soft. It fades after a meal and then my lips start to feel dry. So, reapplication is required.
According to its price, it should have had better staying-power. It is not a great option for winter, and also, it can’t work on super dry lips. Overall I quite like this natural peachy shade.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Tangerine?
Honestly, I have used better and long lasting lip balms. So, according to its price, it is quite an average one for me. But, lip balm junkies can try this cute peachy shade. It makes lips hydrated and smells nice too.
