Lakme True Wear Metallics Bridal Sutra Nail Colors -3 Must-Haves: Review
Here we go again!crib about lakme and keep on running into their counter every where we go, come across smiling SA, eye their free gift with a purchase of 1800rs and end up buying a lot of stuff to fit into that free make up pouch that is so beautiful! Sounds familiar? Ya ask your friend or companion who accompanies you to malls and you will know. This has been my story for years now and thanks to the lounges and wifi zones and newspapers in the malls so that I can take my hubby along. After all I need the credit card and the car to drive a super ecstatic wife home after the shopping. I often talk a lot when I am happy specially after make up shopping. Hats off to all hubbies and boyfriends to keep up with us. My last purchase as far as I remember from lakme was from Westside and I could not resist these three shades from their metallics collection.
I have a couple of beautiful metallics from street wear including a khaki, golden and I had a purple which my didi dropped and splashed all over. So I had to buy a deep purple metallic again. I cant describe how beautiful deep purples look on our nails and silver and golden are like necessary shades when u are not sure u want to match the nail color to your Indian outfit. On days like these the safest colors are silver, gold, and pearly whites which go with all Indian outfits. I also loved the first shade in Rati’s review of metallics . later I checked on the website whether the colors I bought are still available. These three colors are very much available I guess for 90 Rs now. I had purchased them at Rs 85. Surprisingly the website has bracketed the silver and gold shade in the nudes in their section of metallic.
Lakme True Wear Nail Color Metallics Bridal Sutra Mauves 240 Rs 85 for 9 ml:
I love this shade totally.its a deep purple with fine shimmer. And its very pigmented and runny in consistency. I am still happy with one coat but two coats really come out dark and gothic, but the shimmer makes it really beautiful. Two coats last me for a week. I read some where that the second caot should be applied the next day for longevity but who has the patience! One coat may take a minute or two to dry completely. I have it for more than 2 months and the consistency is still the same and fresh as ever. I like the packaging with a bright metallic cap. The brush bristles are standard like all other lakme enamels. Its super cool for night wear and would look out of this world with a purple sari on fair complexion! One word of caution, using this color on long nails will make our nails look like claws. Darker complexions can also carry this color. Lakme True Wear Nail Colour Metallics Bridal Sutra Nudes 040 (Rs 85 for 9 ml) : Before we shake the bottle, we can see streaks of silver amidst the gold in the polish. That must be the fine shimmer added to this color. It’s a medium gold color, thicker in consistency than the purple one. One coat delivers optimum gold and two coats make it a party wear. Great for brides but I wear it all the time:). I think even darker complexions can carry this. Must have metallic color. Lasts me for a week without chipping when I wear two coats.
Lakme True Wear Nail Colour Metallics Bridal Sutra Nudes 039 Rs 85 for 9ml: This is the most beautiful silver color I have ever used. When I first saw it at pantaloons, a colleague of mine picked it up and that was the last piece available. So I immediately made a note of this number and tried to look for it in Westside. This color is a deep silver with no shimmer or glitter particles in it. It has a smooth texture and makes the nails dazzle. I find this a very sophisticated color and can be worn with jeans and tees as well. Two coats for maximum beauty and should last for a week easily. Look awesome on long nails. Great for all complexions Rating :-* :-*:-*:-*for all. Hope you like my three picks that we should have in the name of metallics. I am so keen to try out their nine to five nail enamels too because of the bottle and I have been eyeing the coral in that for a long while. Please review if any of you has used their nine to five range of nail enamels.
So what metallics do you use for your nails?
