Why should you buy Lakme Winter Care moisturiser?

  • It’s a good moisturiser for normal to combination skin. Although there is no mention of skin type on the packaging.
  • Gets absorbed in skin quickly
  • Isn’t greasy
  • Doesn’t improve anything in your skin but doesn’t do anything bad to it
  • It’s affordable
  • Doesn’t have an overpowering smell
  • The packaging is nice. In fact, I quite like the pink bottle.

Why should you NOT buy Lakme Winter Care moisturiser?

  • It doesn’t live up to the claim of 12 hour moisturization. I have to reapply it every 4-5 hours in winters. I don’t use this in summers. I have normal to dry skin.

I have been using the moisturiser for many years now and honestly I have no complains about it. It’s a basic moisturiser with a little runny consistency . Not meant for people with oily skin or very dry skin. People with oily skin could try the Lakme’s Peach Milk Moisturiser. But now I am kind of shifting away from Lakme, I guess I would not repurchase it. It was a good experience using it and it would remain as a part of my teen-early twenties memories.. πŸ™‚

To give you an update on Lush Helping Hands Cream, it has turned into some mauvish-whitish colour and the smell has also changed a bit. I guess it happened because of lack of preservatives. More than 1/4th of my product is going to go waste. πŸ™

It was my first wedding anniversary on 17th so my brother sent these flowers to us. Aren’t they beautiful? πŸ™‚

  1. Happy belated Anniv girl…the flowers are beautiful. Sweet Bro!
I always wonder why Lakme moisturizers are so runny. I personally prefer Peach Milk to this…but will buy neither again. Sad what happened to yr Lush HH πŸ™ I don’t think I will be buying creams from them.

  2. Rima, I do agree. But have used it for years and it hasn’t done anything bad to me. So I am kinda loyal to this one. πŸ˜› Yes, we kept the day pretty simple. Wanted to go out of town but work. grrr. In fact, we were working till 4 a.m. in morning that day. But yes, it was nice. Went out to have dinner, celebrated the cake cutting and all with closed one and that’s that. πŸ™‚

Thanks Cynthia. πŸ™‚ I know he totally made our day with gifts, flowers and cake. I also like Peach Milk moisturiser but i wonder whether I would be buying it again this summer. I have gone to buy their satin finish lipstick atleast times buy even after almost month of the lunch the stores don’t have the testers. Lakme disappoints me so much. πŸ™

I so loved the Helping Hands creams and now it just makes me sad to see what has happened it. I think they must reduce both the quantity and the price if they are not using preservatives to keep their products long lasting.

Most welcome. As soon as I saw the collection, I remembered your post. πŸ™‚
