So I got this as a sample when I went to the Lancôme counter to buy some face washes and creams. Lancôme in USA always has these deals where you get a few sample size products when you shop over $65-75. I love the Juicy Tubes; they are so fun and cute. I love the colors; my favorite is the Raspberry Ice. I didn’t know what to do when I was given this one. What was I going to do with a brown gloss? It looked so boring, and serious. I was so wrong; the color actually surprised me.
This ultra-shiny gloss seeps on a sheer, sexy wash of color in a variety of shades and flavors. You’ll love the ultra-glossy formula that glides on easily with its tube-tip applicator. Perfectly portable, this essential gloss discreetly slips in a pocket or purse for a quick fix of fabulous anytime.
What I think about Lancome Juicy Tubes Simmer:
When I first tried this, I thought the gloss was pretty thick; it didn’t spread evenly on my lips. Then I looked at my lips closely, and knew what the problem was. The next day, I exfoliated my lips and hydrated them with a good lip balm all day, and then at night I applied this gloss. Boy, did it glide on my lips like butter. The color looked so nice. It was like a perfect nude with a little shimmer.
Have you ever looked at those celebrities that have the perfect rosy, lusciously glossy, nude lips? That’s what I felt my lips looked like. I looked at myself in the mirror for a long time, gave myself few air kisses, and pouted my lips in every way possible. I was in love! I had found my new everyday color. At least that’s what I felt when I first applied this gloss, and then 30 minutes later the real story unfolded.
The gloss isn’t long lasting. It stays on for maybe 1 hour. It doesn’t survive snacks or meals. You’re going to find yourself retouching you lips quite a lot. And, the gloss is a little bit sticky for my taste. My lips feel like kids art & craft glue, they stick together when they touch, and I do not like that. And talking about taste, it doesn’t taste like anything. The gloss has no flavor; it just feels slimy on my tongue. And it kind of makes me want to gag. *Too much information! I know.*
But I had been searching for such a nude gloss for a long time, and it finally just came to me on its own, when I had given up all my hopes. So, I guess I’m going to have to be the adjusting one in this relationship. *Until I don’t find a better replacement.*
I’ve never had such problem with the other Juicy Tubes; they felt minty and fun on my lips. I’m not sure if the Juicy Tubes are available in India, I’ve not been to a Lancôme store in India. Please let me know if these are available here.
I like this gloss; it’s the perfect nude, but because it’s really sticky, and feels slimy on my tongue, so I’m going to have to give it a thumb down.
