After trying the Milani Lip Oil, when I came across this gorgeous new launch by Lancôme, I completely fell for it. I like the concept of nourishing lip oils; forget that, just look at the packaging ladies! I could not resist at all. So let’s get started with the review of the Lancôme #352 Wonder Melon Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Bi-Phased Lip Oil.

My Experience with Lancôme #352 Wonder Melon Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Bi-Phased Lip Oil:

Packaging: This is by far the cutest packaging there can ever be for a lip oil. This baby comes in a cute little martini shaker packaging which is made so because the product is a bi-phase liquid which needs to be shaken to mix the pigment and the oil together before application. When the oil and pigment is mixed together, the cushion applicator soaks up enough product to be applied to the lips. This little shaker is housed in a shiny silver cardboard paper packaging with the details of the product mentioned on it. The screw lid sits securely which makes it travel friendly. All in all, the packaging is to die for!

Colour: The shade “Wonder Melon” is a gorgeous bright fuchsia shade with neutral undertones. I guess this is one of the most flattering shades for a lot of skin tones. I absolutely fell in love with this shade the moment I swatched it at Sephora.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is very sheer and it only gives a slight flush of colour to the lips. Since this is a lip oil, the pigmentation should not be a major point of complaint, but personally I would love a little bit more colour. Beauties with pigmented lips will not be able to wear this alone as it by no means hides the pigmentation on the lips. This sure can be worn over a lippie to add that lovely shine and provide a very youthful look to the lips.

Texture: The texture of the lip oil and pigment is very runny, just like thin consistency oil. It glides on the lips very easily and is super comfortable to wear. I recently tried the Milani Lip Oil and I think that one is a lot tackier and thick which I do not appreciate. It really hydrates the lips and smoothes out the fine lines and dry patches of the lips. When worn over a lipstick, it provides good amount of hydration and shine to the lips.

Longevity: One sad part about this baby is that it is not very long lasting. It remains on the lips for about 4 hours if it is not touched at all. But it transfers and thus loses shine and colour. It does not leave a vivid tint behind. Although the lip oil fades away, it still keeps the lips nice and soft.

• Does not accentuate the dry patches or fine lines, in fact it nourishes them.
• Does not uncomfortably sit on the lips and feel slippery.
• Improves the texture of the lips.
• Easily available online and in stores.

• Pricey.
• Low staying power.
• Will not cover pigmented lips.
• Not available in India.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Lancôme #352 Wonder Melon Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Bi-Phased Lip Oil?
Even though this product is pricey, I would still recommend it because of the unique concept and the packaging. Also this product performs well and is not a dud by any means, so you are not totally wasting your money just for the packaging. If the concept of a lip oil excites you, then you will definitely enjoy this product. I may pick up a couple more colours but only during the sale at Sephora; as I don’t think I need to pay full price for this, now that I have one baby already.
