My Experience with Lancome Aplum Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush:
My first blush from Lancome, thanks to IMBB! I picked two shades and today I am reviewing Aplum. I was inclined to buy Lancome blush subtil aplum because I did not have this shade and secondly having used their lipsticks, I wanted to try their blush too. I picked two shades; APLUM is a beautiful plummy mauve colour shade which is very light for my moderately fair skin tone with warm undertones. It’s an oil free, moisture balancing powder based blush. The texture is smooth and silky but feels chalky to touch.
It is a blendable and buildable shade to get the desired effect. This shade applies sheerly and needs to be blended well. Using a blush brush, I apply two to three swipes on my cheeks and then blend using the blush brush or blend using my fingers. Gives a sheer, natural look to my cheeks. Several swipes are required to get a build-up effect. However, first, blend and then reapply to get the desired effect; do not go overboard with the number of swipes. The built-up effect gives a flushed look to my cheeks.
Pigmentation is not so great and lasting power is just four hours. It does not dry out my skin but does irritate my sensitive cheeks. It is perfumed and the fragrance is real good. This shade can be used only for regular wear, in my opinion. Lancome blush subtil is oil free and oil absorbing, and I was a bit apprehensive whether it would dry out my skin. But, it’s fine with me in this climate. As of now, I cannot comment about using in winters. I always use my moisturiser and base foundation, so I don’t think there should be any reason to worry.
The brush applicator is handy, only for touch ups on the go. This shade is not available in most of the countries and to procure, I had to pay shipment and taxes which is almost 50% of the product price. Anyway I wanted to experiment with this shade, so I took the plunge.
