I have reviewed the non shimmery blush by Lancome HERE This is the same blush texture , feel and staying power wise but with a shimmer.
Pink splash is a medium plummy pink blush with silver micro shimmer. It is a medium pigmented but very buildable blush. The shimmers are not chunky, they are superbly fine and add just a hint of glow to the face. Nothing shiny or shimmery looking stuff on face. However, I would still suggest that people who have big pores should avoid this blush. The shimmers “may” accentuate your pores. Color wise, I see this blush working on most skin tones including the dusky one. The plummy undertones work very well with olive skin tones.
I have worn this blush both during day and evening time. Although it is a shimmery blush, it does not look over the top even in a bright day and the same shimmers add a hint of glow to the cheeks for evening time. I avoid wearing highlighter with this blush.
Texture wise it is super smooth and blends easily. It does not get patchy as the day passes. It just fades after almost a 5 hour wear. However I see it staying lesser than 5 hours during summer days.
The packaging is nice and simple. There is an inbuilt mirror, which is quite big and a soft brush, which can be used for touch ups.
The blush has a soft pleasing fragrance – nothing bothersome though.
Overall, it is very good blush. Colorwise, nothing super special but if you are picking up a luxury brand blush I would really recommend this. I enjoy using both the shimmery and the non shimmery versions of the Blush Subtil. But color wise I like Brun Roche more. That is quite a unique color and not very easily available in the drugstore brand. Pinks are easily available in every brand out there.

And here is the look of the day. Hope you like it. 🙂
Sanjeev and I went out for a quick cup of coffee at Hilton/ Intercontinental Hotel today. They have a very cute coffee shop called Sweet & Crusty where I went around 5-6 years back. I was dying to take Sanjeev there since ages now. Finally we went there and had a cup of coffee and croissant. They serve fresh salads, sandwiches and bakery items there. Do check it out. 🙂
