Today, I’ll be reviewing Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow. I went on a huge makeup haul when I went home to New Jersey for the summer. These palettes were lined up near the checkout counter at Ulta and I couldn’t resist. This was too pretty to pass up! There were different palettes that were a part of the Lancôme Color Design line. I picked up a palette that included the shades – Filigree (shimmer), Floralesque (shimmer), Successorize (matte), and Trendy (intense).

Product Description:
A long-lasting eyeshadow palette that fits your everyday wardrobe. The product also claims to be pigment packed, giving it a rich and uniform color. Contains matte shades as well as shimmer and intense shades.

Price:
$43 at Ulta for (3.6 gm).

Colors: Floralesque (Pink shade) , Successorize (Dark Purple), Trendy (Pale Gold), Filigree.

My Experience with Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow – Filigree, Floralesque, Successorize, Trendy:

I’m a little partial to Lancôme because I love most of their products. As for the eye shadows, I don’t think there are enough words to describe how much I love them. I have a few of the individual eyeshadows from this line as well, but I thought this quad eyeshadow would be much more suitable for travelling. Speaking of durability, the packaging for this is amazing. The black plastic case that holds the eyeshadows in is actually a lot stronger than I expected. I’ve dropped this several times and the eyeshadow never flaked or broke apart which was pretty awesome! I don’t wear eye shadow every day, but I think this would be perfect for daily wear or even a night out because of how long it stays on. My only problem with this palette is that it’s ridiculously expensive for a quad palette, but then again, it is Lancôme, and I’m definitely paying a lot for the good quality. I honestly wish I could purchase all the shades because this range is honestly so perfect.

These eyeshadows honestly do what they are supposed to do! They stay on almost all day (at least until I get tired and rub my eyes, awful habit really!). The staying power of this product is probably one of the best an eye shadow palette can have. I personally used the “Successorize” and “Trendy” shades for a night out and came home pretty late, and to my surprise, the shadows were still intact, although slightly smudged from dancing and sweating. Lancôme really set the bar high with the staying power in this range.

• A little pricey for a small palette.
• Can be a little sheer unless you build the color.

Do I Recommend Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow – Filigree, Floralesque, Successorize, Trendy?
Yes, I would strongly recommend this to fellow IMBBians although it’s a bit expensive, they do have some nice shades, even individual palettes.

Would I Repurchase Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow – Filigree, Floralesque, Successorize, Trendy?
I think this will last pretty long considering I don’t wear eyeshadow very often, but I would definitely repurchase. The quality was definitely 5/5. The only real problem was the $43 price tag which is a bit too much.
