My Experience with Lancome Genifique Eye Youth Activating Eye Concentrate:

I suffer from hereditary dark circles and I am always on the lookout for eye creams to help with the problem. So far, no luck whatsoever.  I have been using the Lancome Genifique eye concentrate for about a month now and I am not too pleased nor too disappointed with this product.

The texture of this product is between a gel and cream, goes on very smooth, gets absorbed quickly and has a slight cooling effect on the eye area when applied. It just glides on and it doesn’t take much to cover the entire eye area. It does not irritate the eye even if it accidentally gets inside the eyes. You only have to deal with blurry eyesight for a while if that ever happens. This cream would also make an excellent make up base for under eyes when using concealers, etc. Lancome claims this product is fragrance free but I can still detect faint whiffs of somewhat a floral scent.

I have noticed it does improve the texture of the delicate skin around the eyes remarkably.  The eye area seems smoother, moisturized and looks less tired. If you do have fine lines around the eye, which I don’t, I think it would help with those too. Though it does not seem to have had any drastic effects on reducing my dark circles, the darkness seem to be diminishing very slowly.  The biggest con of this product would be its price. Lancome products are known for being expensive as they deliver quality products but still it’s a huge splurge.

I think it just did a good job of keeping my under eye area supple and hydrated , but I think it was not worth to spend so much on this product which does the same job that any other good affordable drugstore eye cream would do.

• Keeps eye area moisturized and hydrated.

• A little product goes a long way.

Cons of Lancome Genifique Eye Youth Activating Eye Concentrate:

• Did not help much with my dark circles.
• Very expensive.
• Not completely fragrance free.
• No ingredients mentioned.
