I am a silent reader and ardent follower of this fantabulous blog. This is my first review for this blog, although I am very much excited about this, at the same time scared too because there are so many nice reviews of so many different products over here, I don’t know whether I will be able to meet the IMBB standard or not.

Last year, I visited my brother’s place at Berlin for a month to spend my summer vacations.  My sister-in-law and I went shopping one day, and she asked me to get something for myself.  We saw a beauty store and went inside.  We had an issue with the language because we were not well versed with German language and the SA didn’t know English properly, so it was very difficult for me to explain my requirements. To cut the long story short, at last, I somehow conveyed that I am looking for long-lasting lip products.  She showed us a lot many products, but either they were way too costly or the colors were not appealing to me.  I finally purchased two items – Lord and Berry Kissproof Lip Liner and Lancome La Laque Fever Ultimate Lasting Full Color Lip Shine in Woody Rose Satin about which I will talk today.

I got 6 ml of product for 22 Euros after getting some discount on the original sale price.

Ingredients:

Trimethylsiloxyphenyl dimethicone, octyldodecanol, isododecane, acrylic acid/isobutyl acrylate/isobornyl acrylate copolymer, polybutene, squalane, silica dimethyl silylate, vp/hexadecene copolymer, hydrogenated castor oil isostearate, calcium aluminum borosilicate, tin oxide, linalool, calcium sodium borosilicate, silica, limonene, synthetic fluorphlogopite, polyethylene terephthalate, acrylates copolymer, isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben, butylparaben, parfum / fragrance, [+/].

Packaging:

It comes in silver packaging with the logo of Lancome engraved on the tip of the cover and shade number is given on the other end of the tube. Colour band, again with the Lancome rose logo is present beneath the cap of the tube. It is provided with tear-drop shaped applicator sponge which is very easy to use.

My Take on Lancome La Laque Fever Lip Shine – Woody Rose:

Lancome La Laque Fever Ultimate Lasting Full Colour Lip Shine is actually more of a gloss than a lip colour with a superb staying power of 5-6 hours. Consistency of the product is thick, rich and creamy.  Doe-foot applicator is of very good quality and makes applying lip color a breeze.  The color is really vibrant.

When I was in Germany, my complexion was two shades lighter than it is right now, so the moment I applied this lip color, it instantly brightens my face. However, in typical Indian weather, it is somewhat not suiting my dusky skin tone, it is looking a bit neon-ish which I don’t like. It neither bleeds nor smudges, and never feels dry or sticky. All in all, it’s a good choice if you are looking for some bright and long-lasting combination of lip colour and lip gloss.

Let’s summarize the pros and cons:

Pros of Lancome La Laque Fever Lip Shine – Woody Rose:

• Lip color is light and insanely pigmented, only one stroke is sufficient to give a nice burst of colour.
• Rich, thick and creamy consistency.
• Stays put for 5-6 hours on lips with some light snacks in between.
• The applicator is good very comfortable to work with, outlines the lips very well and also fills in the colour neatly and perfectly.
• Classic, sturdy, and travel-friendly packaging.
• A little goes a long way, because seriously, we need a very small amount of product every time.

Cons of Lancome La Laque Fever Lip Shine – Woody Rose:

• Pricey.
• Not available everywhere.
• Its not complementing my tanned skin.
