Today, I will be reviewing another lipstick from Lancome, however this does not belong to the Rouge in Love range. This is a sheerer version of Rouge in Love and contains lipsticks which look natural, yet very pretty on the lips.

My Experience with Lancome L’Absolu Nu Replenishing & Enhancing Lipcolor 104:

L’Absolu Nu is the sheer, glossy counterpart to Lancome’s fuller coverage L’Absolu Rouge lipstick. Both formulas contain Pro-Xylane, the hydrating ingredient found in Lancome’s Absolue skincare line. Both lipsticks also have a rose scent. All the shades with the shade number in 100s belong to sheer n*dy reds, the 200s are sheer n*dy browns and the 300s are sheer n*dy pinks.

Packaging: The outer packaging looks very similar to the Rouge in Love packaging, only a bit taller. It comes in a silver color box packaging, with all details written on it. Inside, the lipstick case is lovely, black colored body, which shuts with a magnetic click. The bullet is shaped so as to fit the curvature of the lips. The entire packaging, is extremely sturdy and very pretty.

Shade: This shade is a pretty warm reddish brown shade, which goes on quite sheer on the lips. It does not have any shimmer particles to it. It has a rose fragrance, just like the Rouge in Love lipsticks, but that disappears after a short time.

Formula: It has a shine and hydration, just like any other sheer lipsticks. The pigmentation is less, compared to Rouge in Love lipsticks; however, since this belongs to the red and coral group, the pigmentation is quite okay and acceptable, for a sheer shade. It is very suitable for the spring months, since all the shades, even the darker ones have a slight softness to them. It never seems cakey on the lips, even on layering it up. It does not sit on the lip lines and has never bled on me. Even during summers, it stays totally intact and does not melt. It moisturises and hydrates the lips.

Lasting time: It lasts for 2-3 hours without meals. Since it is a sheer shade, it does not stain the lips much. On taking some snacks, it does get wiped off. It does transfer onto glasses and cups, but only very slightly.

• A nice day wear sheer shade, very suitable for spring time.
• Rose-like fragrance, does not stay long.
• Softer formula of a deep shade.
• Moisturises and hydrates the lips.
• Does not bleed.
• Gives a soft sheen to the lips.
• Can be layered on easily.
• Does not settle into lip lines.
• Does not transfer much.

Cons of Lancome L’Absolu Nu Replenishing & Enhancing Lipcolor 104:

• Expensive.
• Limited availability in India.
• Gets rubbed off with food.
• Shades cannot be determined from outside.
• Pigmentation is sheer.
• Lasts just 2-3 hours.

Would I repurchase Lancome L’Absolu Nu Replenishing & Enhancing Lipcolor 104?

No, since I am not much into sheer shades. However, the shade in itself is pretty and if you like sheer shades, this is a good alternative for you.
