Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush Review

By Aditya M.

Hello lovelies,

Finding a blush can be a difficult task, especially when your skin is as dusky as mine. I like blushes that are a little on the orange/brown side, but also have a rosy tint to it. I think Lancome’s Blush Subtil in “Miel Glace” is the perfect balance of a coppery tone mixed with a very subtle rosy tint.

Product Details:

“Transparency or seduction, discretion or iridescence, choose your look from this collection of silky-textured powder blushes. Try Blush Subtil, in a range of classic shades, Blush Subtil Sheer for a natural look, or Blush Subtil Shimmer for a radiant glow. Each is formulated to glide on easily and last for hours.” A luxurious powder blush that glides onto skin easily. It also claims to blend easily and it is supposed to last for several hours throughout the day. It is also oil free, and keeps your face matte without dehydrating your skin.

Price:

$31.00 (2.5g) from Sephora.

My Experience with Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush:

I had never really worn blush until a few months ago when one of my friends recommended Lancome’s blushes in general and I thought I’d go to Sephora and pick one up! I picked up two different blushes- Miel Glace and Shimmer Pink Pool.

The “Miel Glace” drew me pretty instantly. I love how copper and summery this blush looks, making it perfect for year round wear when you live in a tropical country like India. The color is very sheer and you’ll have to build it if you have darker skin tone, but I found that two applications were enough for me.

I absolutely cannot get over how beautiful the color is and I honestly don’t think the pictures do justice for how gorgeous it is. I think it glides on well as long as you’ve applied your foundation and everything else evenly. It might start to crease a little if your skin is a little oily and you pack on too much of the product.

Personally, I had no problems with creasing but when I gifted the “Shimmer Pink Pool” to a friend with naturally oily skin, it did crease on her.

Pros of Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush:

  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Great for dusky skin tones.
  • Sheer enough to make your look more natural.
  • Beautiful color.
  • Glides on smoothly and evenly.
  • Very subtle smell.

Cons of Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush:

  • Extremely expensive for such a small palette.
  • Can crease if your skin is oily.
  • Sometimes comes off with oil-blotting sheets.

Would I Recommend Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush?
Yes! If you want to buy a luxury brand blush that works well for the price of it, I definitely recommend Lancome’s line of blushes overall because of their quality. I absolutely love this blush and I think it’ll have a place in my on-the-go makeup bag.

Would I Repurchase Lancome Miel Glace Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush?
Yes, if I can get my hands on this in the new Sephora that should be opening up in Hyderabad, I will definitely be repurchasing this. If not, I guess I’ll have to wait until I go home for the summer.
