Lancôme is one of my favourite luxury brands. I love their lip glosses. Recently, they came out with a new mascara, “Monsieur Big,” which claims to make eyelashes 12x times big. So, let’s see how Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara 01 Big is the New Black fared for me.

This brush’s unique shape features soft, wavy fibres to deliver the perfect amount of formula with the very first stroke. This ultra-creamy formula has supple waxes and polymers to adhere immediately to lashes for big, buildable volume and length. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.
My Experience with Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara:
Packaging: This mascara comes in a glossy, sleek black packaging. The shape of the tube is a standard cylindrical tube. The cap of the tube has the name ‘Monsieur Big’ in metallic magenta colour. The product is very lightweight, travel friendly and you can easily carry it in your purse.
Brush: The brush is very voluminous and bigger compared to other regular mascara wands. The bristles on the brush are very spikey. They did separate my lashes very well and gave a voluminous look. The bristles on the wand are large enough to cover all my lashes. This brush do make my eyelashes look fluttery and well separated.
Formula: The formula is very liquid-y but it dries down very quickly. The wand pick up the right amount of product. This mascara didn’t clump my lashes; however, if you go with multiple coats, then it might clump. I felt two coats of this mascara provides excellent coverage. This is not a waterproof mascara but it stayed put the whole day. It can be easily removed with an oil-based cleanser. I use coconut oil and it cleans everything really well.
This Lancome Big Mascara does give a nice voluminous finish to the eyes. However, I do not feel it makes my eyelashes look 12x times voluminous. I feel L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara gives me better volume and length. Overall, I am happy with this mascara but given a choice between Monsieur Big and Lash Paradise, I will select the L’Oreal one.

- Stays on the lashes until you remove it.

- Travel friendly.
- Doesn’t clump eyelashes.
Cons of Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara:
- It didn’t make my eyelashes look 12X times voluminous.

Yes, I do recommend, but I will not repurchase as there are better drugstore mascaras out there.
