Laneige Multi Cleanser Review

Laneige Multi Cleanser Review

I will be introducing you guys to a famous South Asian brand today – Laneige. Since I travel often to Singapore and Malaysia, I do purchase and try out South Asian brands.  Laneige is a Korean brand and is quite famous for skin care, but they also do makeup products. I have tried quite a few products from this brand last year and I am using some skin care products now.

Laneige+Multi+Cleanser+Review

Product Description:

Laneige means natural “snow” in French. Laneige pursues the artistic sense of “snow” crystals and completes the beauty of young women between 24 and 32 through the hydrating science of “water,” the final destination of “snow.” Laneige scientifically studies water the source of life and the most important element of healthy skin for hydration/moisturisation.

2. Use every day to purify pores for brighter skin.

Full size of 180 ml costs around AUD 50.The travel size I purchased was around AUD 10.

My Experience with Laneige Multi Cleanser:

I purchased quite a few Laneige products in KL last year after reading about them in many Malaysian women’s beauty/fashion magazines. This brand’s “water sleeping pack” was quite famous and the concept intrigued me. This year, I purchased a selection of Laneige skin care products in travel size and I would be reviewing the Laneige Multi Cleanser today.  Laneige is quite an expensive brand and each of their products are priced over AUD 30.  As such, I purchased some travel size versions first.

Laneige Multi Cleanser 3

Back to the cleanser, this is suitable for all skin types and has plant enzymes such as papain to work as a 4-in-1 cleanser such as makeup, sunscreen, BB cream as well as makeup and foundation. The cleanser comes in a tube with a very narrow opening so that only the adequate amount is dispensed each time. The cleanser is white in colour and has a very mild soapy fragrance which will suit even sensitive noses. A very small amount (as shown in my picture) is enough each time as it foams well. The very first time I used this, I made a mistake of dispensing too much and the product got wasted.

Laneige Multi Cleanser 4

This product did make my face squeaky clean and removed all makeup as well as cream and sunscreen.  I only had to use an eye makeup remover for my eyes as I didn’t feel it was appropriate to use this to cleanse my eye area. The cleanser has small micro beads and also exfoliates at the same time. My skin felt squeaky clean and radiant. This definitely made my face look radiant. After using this, my face felt tight and dry, but it did not look dry as in I didn’t get dry patches on my face. I always followed up with the lotion from the same range, but what I feel is that if you have dry skin, you should stay away from this as it might make your skin too dry.

Laneige Multi Cleanser 5

Overall, I feel this cleanses my skin very well, makes it brighter, radiant and also didn’t break me out at all. Its a very effective cleanser and in one step, it removes all makeup and impurities.

Pros of Laneige Multi Cleanser:

  • Contains fruit enzymes to gently exfoliate and cleanse skin.
  • Removes makeup, sunscreen and BB creams all in one step.
  • When used with the pack, toner and lotion from the same range, it makes my skin radiant and hydrated.
  • All products come in cute travel sizes and can be used to try before buying the full size.
  • Has a light fragrance which is apt for skin care products.

Cons of Laneige Multi Cleanser:

  • Might be too drying for dry skin even though it claims it is for all skin types.
  • Quite a pricey brand, is not easily available in all countries.

IMBB Rating:

4.75/5

Will I Repurchase Laneige Multi Cleanser?

Yes, definitely. This suited my skin well, so I am planning to purchase the full size after I finish the products I have at the moment, but it is extremely pricey.

  1. Oh yes I have heard and seen their stuff in Singapore but found them pretty expensive! This one looks like a winner! Is it good for acne-prone sensitive skin?

    1. Hi Aarbee,… it claims to be good for all skin types but my personal feeling is that it is apt for oily, normal and combination skin types….

This contains fruit enzymes so I would say not suitable for acne prone- sensitive skin…
