Laura Geller Baked Color and Contour Palette Review

Hello everyone,

This review will be on an amazing product that I have discovered through my recent Ulta haul. This is a 3-in-1 product and the best thing about this kit is that these 3 products are available individually too.  Read on to know more about the Laura Gellar Baked Color and Contour Palette.

Laura Geller Baked Color and Contour Palette

Product Details:
Contour, highlight and color with a three-in-one palette by Laura Geller Beauty. It features the brand’s best-selling Baked Bronze-n-Brighten to give skin a warm, sun-kissed glow while enhancing definition, while Baked Highlighter in a flattering low-glow shade gives you a lit-from-within radiance. Baked Brulée Blush with its flattering swirls of color gives your cheeks a natural flush. All baked products begin as liquid pigments that are baked on terracotta tiles then hand-finished in Italy into silky domes of powder. The result is vibrant, weightless color that feels creamy on the skin.  Baked products start their lives as a liquid pigment, that is then baked for 24 hours on a terra-cotta tile for creamy weightless color and coverage. Use Bronze-N-Brighten to shade, sculpt, and minimize desired areas of the face while adding warm glow to your skin. With the highlighter, create definition and glow to bring forward and illuminate select features, and then add a natural-looking pop of color with the blush.

My Experience with Laura Geller Baked Color and Contour Palette:

Packaging:  This palette comes in a huge dome case with a mirror. The palette is as big as my hand, hence you do get a lot of product for the price and it will last you a long time even with regular use. All 3 products are separated and are big enough to dip your brush in one color at a time. The outer case does attract fingerprints.

Texture:  These baked powders are so smooth. They do not feel powdery or chalky at all. They blend like a dream with no patchiness or streaking.

Shades:

Bronze-n-Brighten in Medium:

This bronzer is a beautiful swirl of brown, beige, white and a little bit of pink. The look when you swirl together all three colors is a very neutral-toned natural-looking bronzer with a peachy undertone. I find this color not deep enough to contour with, but when used as a light dusting all over the face and under the cheeks, it gives a subtle dimension to the face while giving it a light sun-kissed look. The pigmentation of this is sheer, but easily buildable, hence it is very beginner friendly and also best to use on days when you are going for a very natural makeup. This particular shade will flatter light to medium skin tones the most. If you are someone with a deeper skin tone, this will not show up on you.  One thing I do wish about this bronzer is that it should have had more depth. All baked swirled products like these are usually different and my bronzer looks way different than the one depicted in the picture on the case, which has a lot more brown ribbons on it. Though this is not a con as the present color also works with my skin tone as an everyday color for the face, but for those particularly looking to have a contour color, you may or may not find the depth of this bronzer suitable depending on what combination of color your product gives you.

Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla:

This particular highlighter is a bestseller in the Laura Gellar line and for good reason. This is a very very beautiful beige vanilla highlight with a satin finish. There are no chunky glitter particles. The sheen it gives is very natural, hence very appropriate for all age groups and perfect for both daytime/office wear and nighttime/party wear. You cannot go overboard with this highlight and I love using this over areas I would usually highlight, like the tops of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, etc., as well as to brighten the under-eye area, which I would not be able to do with any other highlight powder which has shimmer.

Baked Brulée Blush in Cherry Custard:

This particular blush is the star of this kit for me. It is such a gorgeous bright pink shade which gives a very glow-y look on the cheeks without any visible chunky shimmer or glitter. It’s like a blend of a blush and highlight powder in one. It instantly brightens up the face and makes you look youthful. It does not emphasize pores and I think this blush will suit every skin tone. The pigmentation is very good and a light dusting is all that is needed for this to show up.

Staying Power:  All 3 of these products wear beautifully throughout my 7-8 hours wear time. There is no visible fading and it does not cling to my dry patches.

Overall, I am very impressed with this product and I can already see myself using this a lot. I love all the three products in this kit and will recommend them individually too. This product has totally tempted me to look into more products from Laura Gellar Baked collection and I will pick more of them very soon. If you have any suggestions, do let me know 🙂  I 100% recommend this 🙂

Pros of Laura Geller Baked Color and Contour Palette:

  • Three products in one palette.
  • Gives a beautiful finish on the skin.
  • No chunky shimmer or glitter.
  • Good staying power.
  • Easy to blend.
  • Beginner-friendly colors and powders.
  • Buildable pigmentation.
  • Highlight and the blush are the stars of this palette, which give a nice glow-y satin sheen, which will look good on everybody.
  • Though the kit is a bit big, I would still consider this travel friendly as it gives everything you would need in terms of your contour, blush and highlight.

Cons of Laura Geller Baked Color and Contour Palette:

  • The bronzer in my particular product is not deep enough for contouring as it lacks more of brown and has more beige ribbons swirled in it.
