Hello everyone,
With the new “strobing” trend in the makeup world, everyone is going for that “super dewy glowy highlighted” look./ I have recently been trying out this trend on myself too and have been in love with it. This new product is one of the reasons I have been able to achieve that look so easily and flawlessly and this product is giving my all-time favorite Becca highlighter a tough competition. This review will be on the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade “Glided Honey.”
Product Description:
lluminate your natural beauty! This innovative hybrid texture applies like a sheer powder but feels like a cream, creating a translucent wash of luminous color that can be swept all over the face for a lit-from-within glow. A fresh 3-D design captures the look of your favorite Italian dessert, and lasts until the very last application.

My Experience with Laura Geller Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator:
Packaging: I really like how this product is packaged. Though it not as high end looking in terms of the outer case which is a flimsy plastic dome lid. The inside is absolutely gorgeous with swirl pattern on the product.
Texture: This highlighter has a very smooth texture. It is not too powdery, but it is not creamy either. It has the smooth silky nature of a cream, but it does not have any of its emollient quality.
Application and Pigmentation: This highlighter is easy to apply. My two favorite methods of applying this product – with a stippling brush for a sheer wash or my fingertips for the most concentrated color. This highlighter does not go sheer, but it is easily buildable, which is a good quality to have and you cannot easily go overboard. You can go for a subtle glow or high impact JLo glow depending on how much you apply.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Glided Honey” is a stunning straight up gold. On my skin, it gives a very luminous glow as well as some warmth. It will look gorgeous on light-medium to tan skin. A quality which I loved in my Becca highlight was that you could not detect individual shimmer on the skin which is true for this product as well. In addition to that, the finish that this highlight imparts has an appearance of “wet/dewy looking skin” (in the best, most gorgeous way) without any greasiness. It feels super lightweight and does not accentuate my pores. I love the fact that it looks very natural and does not look too shimmery. It only imparts a glow when the light hits it, hence does not make you look greasy or sweaty.
Staying Power: The staying power is pretty good. It stayed 6-7 hours on me before starting to fade.
Overall, I am in love with this highlighter. This shade is my favorite out of the 2 shades available in this range – Glided honey and Ballerina (review coming soon).
I also love the fact that this product has a decent price tag, so if you were stopping yourself from buying the Becca highlighter due to it being very expensive, I suggest you go for this product as it will give you the same amazing results and will not disappoint you.
