Laura Mercier Lip Colour – Dusk Review
Hello Peeps!
I was in the process of de-stashing and I realized that I have some amazing MLBB shades, which haven’t been reviewed. I don’t use these much because you know I like my lipsticks bold and bright. However, I thought to share them with you. This one’s from Laura Mercier – shade name Dusk.
Product Details:
A luxurious lipstick that gives lips the ultimate in colour, texture, and finish. In one smoothing swipe, the crème formula envelops lips in rich colour with a semi-lustrous finish.
Price:
Retails at $27 for 4 gm.
Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a glossy square brown tube with “Laura Mercier” etched on it lightly. The bullet has a normal twist up mechanism. The case comes packaged in a grey cardboard box.
My Take on Laura Mercier Lip Colour – Dusk:
Color: As I mentioned earlier, the shade is MLBB, it’s a beautiful dusty rose with hints of plum– smooth, subtle and lovely. The shade would suit most skin tones for an MLBB shade – will look fab with dramatic eyes or for office wear. It’s a sophisticated shade.
Initially, I thought it was similar to Bobbi Brown’s Heather Pink (another MLBB shade). However, when swatched together, Dusk shows hints of plum, while Heather Pink shows hints of red. These shades would be dupes of MAC Cosmo or MAC Crème in Your Coffee. Refer to the pic where they have been swatched together.
Texture: The texture is creamy, moves smoothly on the lips – no tug or pull. It does not cling to or emphasize dry patches. These really are pretty amazing lipsticks.
Pigmentation: One or two swipes are enough to get the colour in the tube and hide all lip pigmentation.
Staying Power: The colour stays true through snacks/mini-meals for good 4.5-5 hours, leaves a faint pinkish stain.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Laura Mercier Lip Colour – Dusk:
- Beautiful colour, easily wearable, perfect MLBB.
- Excellent pigmentation.
- Would suit most skin tones.
- Easy to apply from the tube.
- Does not feather.
- Does not accentuate the fine lines of my lips.
- Did not dry out my lips.
Cons of Laura Mercier Lip Colour – Dusk:
- Laura Mercier is not available in India.
Grande Finale:
IMBB Rating:
5/5
The Laura Mercier lipsticks are truly fantastic – quality, long-lasting, amazing texture, a wide array of shades, you are sure to find a colour you like.
Would I Repurchase Laura Mercier Lip Colour – Dusk?
Not this shade for sure because I don’t use MLBB shades and if I do, I reach for Estee Lauder’s Rebellious Rose or Bobbi Brown’s Heather Pink, but I would definitely try more shades from this range though.

It’s such a pretty shade!!! 😀
This is a safe to-work shade but I reckon very dupable. I love Laura Mercier makeup but I would probably save my pennies for a more kickass shade!
