Laura Mercier Lip Glace – Blush Review

Hello Ladies,

Trust you all had a great weekend? Today, I am going to be reviewing for you another product and it is a lip gloss by Laura Mercier. If I am going to be honest with you, despite always hearing about Laura Mercier, I have never really used many products by them.  So, let’s see what I really thought about this lip gloss.

My Experience with Laura Mercier Lip Glace – Blush:

Packaging:  The Laura Mercier Lip Glace, comes in a transparent glass tube, the cap is dark brown in colour and Laura Mercier is engrossed onto the transparent glass tube in the same colour. The applicator is a doe-foot applicator, it is really soft and helps glide the product really easily on the lips.

Color:  Despite it looking slightly dull in the tube, the colour is a gorgeous light natural pink/n*de colour with slight brown undertones, which gives it a really natural rosy look on the lips when applied, it instantly gives a polished look to the face and brightens it up.

Pigmentation:  The Laura Mercier Lip Glace is not too heavily pigmented, it is probably due to the colour of the lip gloss being so natural. But I would say a single swipe of the product is enough to give a sheen on your lips. If you are looking for a gloss that gives you rich colour like the Chanel Allure gloss, this would not be the shade you want to get your hands on, maybe another shade out of the 26 shades, might give you the colour you desire. But this one is very natural and not heavily pigmented, you can achieve rosy natural pink lips with this gloss.’

Texture:  It’s not overly sticky when applied in moderate amounts. The consistency is not thick and easily glides onto the lips.  If you use a lot of it, you will definitely feel slightly uncomfortable and the formula will feel heavy and sticky on your lips.

Finish:  Since it is a gloss, you will obviously expect it to have a sheen/glossy finish, for obvious reasons. Your lips would look moisturized and hydrated with this gloss, but I definitely prefer the Clarins Instant Light Perfecter for an everyday hydrated look.

Laura Mercier Lip Glace

Smell/Taste:  It has a lovely fragrance, it has a sweet smell like chocolate or candy. So for obvious reasons, it is a joy to apply on the lips without feeling like you are eating toxic chemicals. I would say the fragrance is definitely over powering and you can smell it on your lips for sure.  So, if you are someone who does not like lip glosses with overpowering fragrance, I would say, stay away! However, in my opinion, it is much better than the chemical smell some lip glosses/lipsticks come with.

Staying Power:  This gloss stays on the lips for a good 4-5 hours, without the sheen fading away if you are eating small meals or drinking water or drinks. However, because it’s such a natural colour, it definitely will need re-application after you have eaten big meals since no sort of color or sheen remains on your lips.

Pros of Laura Mercier Lip Glace – Blush:

  • A lovely natural pink/n*de colour lip gloss with brown undertones, you can get a natural look with sheen on your lips.
  • Brightens up your face and gives you a polished look with the help of a swipe.
  • Smells really good, it has a sweet fragrance like chocolate/caramel.
  • Relatively good staying power.

Cons of Laura Mercier Lip Glace – Blush:

  • Wearing too much of it might result in the lips feeling too sticky and uncomfortable.

Would I Repurchase Laura Mercier Lip Glace – Blush?

No, I probably wouldn’t.  I prefer the Clarins Lip Perfecter over this since they are essentially of the same colour and finish. However, Clarins is more attractive since it feels more comfortable and natural on my lips.
