Leader’s Clinic Derma Soul Pore Control Mask Review

I have used some of Leaders clinic masks recently namely, ‘Detox mask’ and the ‘Bright mask’ that I reviewed earlier. Let’s know more about the Leader’s Clinic Derma Soul Pore Control Mask.

Product Description:
This deep and purifying mask helps to unclog and tighten enlarged pores, while also tackling uneven skin tone and loss of elasticity. It is non-drying and leaves skin soft and comforted and your complexion visibly clearer, firmer and less troubled after one use. Leaders Insolution masks are free of parabens, mineral oils, silicon and artificial pigments; so treatment to your skin is done naturally and gently.

Ingredients:

Natural Preservatives: Rhododendron diversipilosum, Ecklonia Cava Extract, Artemisia messerschmiktiana Besset, Houttuynia cordata, Saururus chinensis

Directions for Use:
• Cleanse and dry face, then refine with toner
• Apply mask 15-20 minutes. Do not leave until the mask has dried up as this will dehydrate your skin.
• Remove and tap your face for a while. Leave it around 10-15 minutes for the essence be fully absorbed.

My Take On Leader’s Clinic Derma Soul Pore Control Mask:

It comes in a very elegant-looking pouch. For one time use, pouch packaging is okay. At the back of the pouch, everything is written in Korean except for the ingredients. I wish they had given the shelf life and usage in English but that can be found online. When the pouch is opened, you can see the mask that is submerged in a dense liquid. The consistency of the liquid is sticky, not to an extent that it feels uncomfortable though. The material of the mask is very thick and not too papery. It facilitates in better handling and the liquid stays for long without evaporating. It does not have any noticeable smell to it which is good.

The mask mainly concentrates on tightening pores and reducing them along with evening skin tone and making it firmer. Recently, I am facing a lot of oil secretion that is making me face break-outs. I wanted a cleansing mask, and this one also claims to control excessive sebum secretion. My main concerns were enlarged pores at the sides of my nose and excessive oil. So, I used this mask on cleansed and toned face, so that it would work better. This takes more than 20minutes to dry, and it took me 45 minutes to completely dry off. Since it is advised not to take it off until the mask is fully dry, or the skin will end up dehydrated.

The sticky liquid does take time to dry, and get absorbed into the skin. After removing it, I gently massaged my skin as advised. So it did close and tightened my large pores, and also cleansed them. I could feel the freshness, like my skin had woken up. At that time, the oil and sebum were removed away, and did not appear for a few hours after which they gained entry again. The pores also loosened the next day, so in other words the effects are short-lived. It induced a light glow to the face, but I guess that was due to the cleansing. It did nourish and hydrate my skin too, but it would dry the skin if removed wet. It’s a pity there’s only one mask.

• Has a very good ingredient list.
• The sheet is not too thin, just right to handle.
• Did not make my skin dry.
• It effectively cleansed my pores and tightened them.
• It made my skin fresh, nourished and hydrated.
• Removed oil and sebum.
• Affordable.

Cons of Leader’s Clinic Derma Soul Pore Control Mask:

• The effects are short-lived.
• The mask takes a lot of time to dry.
• The oil and sebum returns after a few hours.
• More than one mask would have been nicer.

Would I Recommend/Re-Purchase Leader’s Clinic Derma Soul Pore Control Mask?
This is an average mask that effectively tightens pores without drying out the skin, good for one time use. I liked the ‘Bright mask’ better so I don’t think I’ll get this one again.
