Today, I have a product which I am sure every woman would love to have in her vanity – the Lime Crime Velvetine lipstick in Suedeberry. I have waited for months for this shade to be available on their website, but it was always sold out. When I finally found it one day, I ordered it in a jiffy.
Ground-breaking formula that goes on liquid and dries completely matte. Touch-proof, transfer-proof, long-wearing and utterly addictive!
My Take on Lime Crime Velvetines Suede-Berry Liquid Matte Lipstick:
This is a bright neon-orange with red tone. I love how the shade looks on me. This shade will look flattering on all skin tones. This initially goes on liquid on the lips, but sets to a matte finish within a few seconds. So there, you have enough time to do your lips before it settles. Pigmentation is amazing in one swipe. I don’t feel the need to apply another coat after the Velvetine sets matte on my lips. It obviously covers any kind of pigmentation on the lips. The applicator makes it a little difficult to draw a precise line around the lips, but once you get hold of it, oh boy, you’ll rock.
It does not feel drying on the lips at all! It stays put on the lips for hours. Living up to its claims, it is transfer-proof, smudge-proof, extremely long-wearing and completely addictive. It survives meals, stays around 8 hours and still looks the same.
You will have to use a makeup remover to remove this since it is unaffected by water. You have to exfoliate your lips before using this since it settles into lines. It looks beyond beautiful on smooth, non-flaky lips, so make sure you have properly prepped lips before applying the Velvetine. If your lips are extremely dry and flaky, you can use a lip balm underneath or over the Velvetine to make your lips feel hydrated.
You can also top it with a gloss but what’s the point in splurging on this beauty then? The packaging is beautiful with cute roses on the cardboard box and on the cap as well. The shade name is mentioned on the top and color is also clearly visible through the glass.
