Lip Balm For Pigmented Lips: Do It Yourself

Lip Balm For Pigmented Lips: Do It Yourself

Today, I am going to share with you all my HG lip balm which I use so religiously and which has helped me a lot in getting rid of my lip pigmentation.  Another use with this lip balm is that it moisturizes the lips so well that my lips feel so soft and moisturized in the morning.  The things used in this DIY are so handy and the procedure too is easy.  As with any DIY, you can always add or skip any ingredients in making this if you want.

Preparation Time:

20 minutes.

Ingredients:

Lip+Balm+For+Pigmented+Lips+Do+It+Yourself

  • Any basic lip balm of your choice (you can use your unused lip balms too).
  • Carrot seed oil-5 to 6 drops.
  • Vitamin E oil – one capsule.
  • Wheatgerm oil- 7 to 8 drops.
  • Aroma Magic Beautiful Skin Oil – 2 to 3 drops.
  • Any thing to stir the contents (sorry, I couldn’t find any thing small, so used a heavy spoon).
  • Microwave or a double boiling setup.

Procedure:

Initially, melt the lip balm in microwave for 2 minutes (of course in a microwave safe bowl, here I have put the lip balm directly in microwave after testing).

If you don’t have a microwave , melting can also be done on stove using a double boiler setup by transferring contents into a small steel bowl (but never put lip balm directly on the flame).

If you feel the the lip balm in the container is difficult to add and stir the oils, transfer it into an appropriate bowl.

Now, add the above prescribed oils one by one into the melted lip balm, the Vitamin E oil, Wheat germ oil, Carrot seed oil, and the Aroma magic beautiful skin oil.

After adding the oils, stir the contents well using an appropriate object.

Now, microwave the stirred lip balm again for 2 to 3 minutes so that every thing will be in liquid form as the oils, finally stir the melted lip balm and oils mixture so that everything will be mixed up well.

Later after mixing immediately, refrigerate the liquid form of this lip balm so that it solidifies and sets.

Finally, the lip balm will be in a bit soft in consistency with the aroma of the essentials oils, and without any change in colour (as we have not added anything that will change the colour).

How To Use:

Take generous amount of lip balm and apply it allover your lips during night and leave it overnight.

By morning, you can feel your lips are softened and moisturised.

As your lips are soaked in essential oils overnight, brushing lips with a soft brush adds to the benefits and get rids off the dead skin (never brush dry lips as it leads to bleeding, I have experienced this).

The carrot seed oil Vitamin E oil and the Aroma magic beautiful skin oil will do the de pigmenting job.
