Lipice Lip Balm Blueberry Review

LIPICE LIPBALM IN BLUEBERRY REVIEW

Hi everyone!!!

Today, I am going to review Lipice lip balm in Blueberry. This lip balm comes in 4 variants: Strawberry, Orange, Blueberry and lemon. It has already been reviewed in lemon. I wanted to try a different lip balm, so I got this after reading blueberry on it. 😛 now, let’s come on to the review.

My experience with this product:

This lip balm is one of my favorite lip balms. It comes in a white case and is in a retractable stick form. The size is small compared to Nivea lip balms and is almost equal to the Faces lip balm. I find the blue band on the case representing blueberries to be cute.

It is a non tinted lip balm. it moisturises my lips very well. the moisturising effect stays for 3-4 hours on my lips. it definitely helps in healing of dry, cahpped lips when applied at night before sleep. This lip balm gives a very soothing, cooling effect when applied to the lips. This is because it contains Camphor and Menthol. One additional benefit this lip balm has is that it contains SPF 15.

It does not give any waxy or greasy feeling on the lips. It does not give any shine to the lips and neither it forms any white cast on lips, even when used in excess. I can say this because I use it in excess. I am so used to all the shine and gloss effect Nivea and Faces lip balms give that I swipe this lip balm on my lips a multiple number of times to get that shiny effect. But, it has never given me that effect. Because of this, I would say it is a perfect lip balm to apply beneath lip colors and lipsticks because it won’t change the color or give extra shine to the lipsticks.

I got this particular variant because I expected it to have fragrance similar to blueberries, and I was highly disappointed. It smells sweet, but definitely not of blueberries. The fragrance is not at all overpowering, but is very slight. It lingers on for a few minutes. This is the only problem I have with this lip balm. I think I will get it in other variant next time because I am sure the strawberry and orange one would definitely have better fragrance and flavor.

Pros:

  •  Moisturizes the lips well
  •  Heals dry, chapped lips
  •  Can be used as a base for lipsticks. It doesn’t change the color or gives extra shine to the lipsticks.
  •  It doesn’t increase the tendency of lipsticks to bleed or smudge
  •  Doesn’t provide that extra shine to lips and hence can be used casually
  •  Doesn’t give waxy feeling to the lips
  •  Non tinted
  •  Contains SPF 15
  •  Affordable

Cons:
• No hint of blueberries in fragrance or flavor
• Wont hide the pigmentation of lips

Imbb rating:
4.25/5

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend?
Lipice lip balms are definitely one of the best lip balms I have used. The only problem I have is that it doesn’t have any hint of blueberries, but still I would say that if you want a lip balm which can be used as a base for lipsticks and which will moisturize your lips well without giving that waxy feeling, then you should go for it.
I would also like to add that if you want a lip balm for your husband or boyfriend, you should try this because it doesn’t smell girly or gives any shine to the lips and is non tinted.
